central location (if seriously ugly). friendly staff. relatively inexpensive. they had the only available room at short notice. free internet. and that's about it.
no towels. i had to use "biodegradable" paper towels to dry myself. bizarre. the room was tiny, cramped, and despite having three beds (all for me!) not one of them was big enough for a grown man.
We stayed 6 nights in the hotel. The hotel is spotlessly clean and fresh. Location is walking distance from shops and (not so fine) Cannes' beach. Our room on the top floor, facing the garden, was absolutely bigger then average French hotel rooms and very nice to use. The helpful staff was taking good care of us. I particularly enjoyed the attitude of the hotel manager/owner: Everything was free (parking, minifridge, airco, cable internet) and nothing seemed to be ever a problem. A very positive and relaxing way of serving clients. The bigger hotel chains lack this kind of welcoming ambiance since you have to pay for every little 'piece' of service that is used.
Be aware of the fact that the charming, good looking building, is actually faced towards Cannes' most busiest road, with a railroad underneath it. The rooms were very good isolated from outside noise though, just don't expect a romantic view. The inside-noise was a little bit more disturbing since the walls and doors don't isolate well, but still we managed to get a good sleep.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was clean. It was exactly what we needed.
nice hotel with very helpful staff. Good location
