Very comfortable and spacious rooms, excellent restaurant on the ground floor
The building itself is obsolete, but the rooms are very comfortable.
A peaceful location with beautiful gardens. The staff were friendly and helpful at breakfast and evening meals.
Pleasant, waterside location. Good food.
Nearby railway (all night!) Hotel needs a lot of renovation - clean but very tatty. No hot water for showers one morning. Staff very friendly, but inefficient. On final morning no-one turned up to prepare breakfast or check us out of the hotel! We left key and note with a contractor mowing the lawns! The manager did however, telephone to apologise, and offered refund for the final night. One gets the overall impression that, although very friendly, the business is run for the convenience of the staff rather than the paying guests. I also feel that the management are inexperienced in this type of business. Sincerely though, I hope they get their act together and make success of this business.
The location and style of the Grove Ferry Inn was lovely. We had dinner there which was great as well. Would be perfect in the summer.
I thought the room was a little over priced for what it is. Was decorated nicely though.
Having just been very recently acquired by the new owners they have made great moves towards it becoming a lovely place to stay. The personal attention to their customers every need was excellent. We only had breakfasts there and they were everything we could have wished for
Friendly staff and great food
The Friendlyness of Staff and Management
For My Disibility I Found the bed a bit low and moved around a bit.
The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.
Location decor food
The heating was not good in the room, but a portable heater was supplied. There was no heating in the breakfast area which made it uncomfortable while eating.
Convenient and friendly
No heating at breakfst - hotel room could have been a lot warmer - Toilet needed a good clean. Power shower in todays world would help - extractor fan in toilet did not work
