The general old world appearance and decor
the old atmosphere
was there one night only , room was warm which was good.
breakfast was too expensive.
Staff were very friendly and helpful
The total service was excellent.
Smell in bathroom (room 218); location and traffic noise not wonderful.
Only one-night stay - as we had wedding to go to nearby on the Saturday evening - but found it to be a pleasant, friendly hotel to stay in.
The staff, the noise in the room
Staff are excellent. Oldest hotel in England. Quaint. Excellent Restaurant. Excellent Bathroom and lots hot water.
No smoking rooms were all in modern extension not the historic building and the bedroom decor was tired. TV did not work properly.
location good, well preserved old building
