Unexpectedly fancy
I’d lived in CoMo for a while and never visited this hotel. Came back for a wedding and was pleasantly surprised at how luxurious it was. The staff was fantastic and the room had a large number of upgrades for an reasonable price. I would definitely stay here again.
The view from the room was a parking garage.
Don't waste your money
Bed was decent
I'm still trying to figure how they justify a 200 dollar stay. And downtown Columbia is the worst
Very modern hotel in close proximity to Mizzou
I really liked the minimalistic design and overall style and colors of the room. Very clean and comfortable bed, 30'something inch wall-mounted flat screen TV, huge windows with a great view of the sunset, powered shades that roll up with a touch of a button next to the bed, and a small desk next to a clothes drawer with built-in drinks. Oh, the bathroom was large and the shower was super nice with a triple head setup consisting of an adjustable faucet on a long hose, a fixed overhead and four small horizontals off the back wall). This place was much nicer than I was expecting and would definitely stay here again.
The only thing, and I'm grasping here, is that the pillows were too thick for my liking. Major flaw, I know!
Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the upgrades to the long-time fixture in Columbia. It brings a "big city", boutique-style experience to Columbia. Great time...and don't miss the "Vault" bar downstairs. The bartenders are worth the price of admission.
Very friendly and helpful staff
Limited nearby parking so we had to use valet parking. Reasonably priced at $10/d, though.
Built in 1928, the Tiger Hotel has been a landmark building in Columbia, Missouri for nearly a century. The historic architecture is paired with an extensive renovation program, most recently undertaken in 2011. The 62-guestroom hotel offers a slice of history with modern comfort.
Rooms are full of comfort, with custom designed bedding, deep soaker tubs, and Molten Brown bath amenities. The units come in four types, two standard guest rooms and two suites. The signature room is the One Bedroom Executive Suite, with views of downtown Columbia. In addition, the suite offers a separate sitting area, stocked minibar, and a full wet bar.
An ideal business destination, the Tiger Hotel offers a wide range of meeting facilities. The rooms start at smaller meeting rooms for about 10 people and include full facilities for events that hold up to 400 guests. The hotel employs a complete event planning staff, making it not a only a venue for business but personal events like a wedding.
The Tiger Hotel has a variety of bar and restaurant options. One of the signatures is The Vault, a chic speakeasy located in the hotel’s lower level. The cocktails are award-winning and the menu features a variety of modern small bites. A couple additional treats include the English-inspired candy shop May Contain Nuts and a night club called The Industry located behind the main building of the hotel.
Plenty of character and a lot of history make the Tiger Hotel a fantastic option for both business and pleasure.
