Maybe the location; that’s about all.
The room was smaller than it appeared - no big deal though. Hot, the room was overwhelmingly HOT ! So with that, you open the window - try to open the window. It has a devise that allowed you to open the window 3 inches. Probably a good thing because that also allows the traffic sounds into the room. However the staff thought of that, there actually were earplugs on the bedside table! The counter person was “new” and couldn’t authorize a refund. I asked the manager to contact me, of course they have not yet. But they were sure to charge me $201 right away!!
The location was excellent. Rooms very basic but enjoyed my break. Bit noisy outside as it was close to a Public House which stayed opened until early hours of the morning. Good for a break but would not like to stay for a week or two.
Noisy pub next door.
The price for such a centralized location is amazing. You're no more than a 10 minute to all of the cities sites.
The continental breakfast is nothing to write home about after traveling the country side and being feed at B&Bs.
We found the hotel location very central . The room was cosey but do remember to turn on the radiator before you go out.If you want quiet ask for room at back as we were front room and could hear all the life outside from popular pub accross the road.We didnt mind as we were getting the city atmosphere. Continental breakfast was good and tasty.Overall we were happy with everything.
It was in a great location, in a very cool old building. Breakfast at L"Gueuleton was a nice change of pace from typical hotel breakfasts.
I didn't like that there is no actual hotel staff located in the Grafton Guesthouse, and that the building has no elevator. Carrying three suitcases up to our attic room was extremely difficult. We also had to call reception a few times (once when the toilet was not working well, and again to ask for restaurant recommendations) and both times the person at the front desk was not particularly friendly or helpful. Also, the room we stayed in smelled like smoke, even though it was a presumably non-smoking room, and the heater would not turn on.
excellent location, perfect for night out in city centre. not disturbed by noise at all and the fact that breakfast and check in in different buildings did not matter.
Alot of stairs!
Everything was excellent! Location was perfect for exploring Dublin. We had plenty of room and it was clean and comfortable.
Location - very easy to access Temple bar area.
Breakfast - It's free but not very much choice.
Location is in the center, just near Temple Bar. Staff is very friendly
3 different locations. Very confusing I had a very small room. Breakfast is very limited in choice. Poor price/quality ratio.
it was centrally located in the heart of the Dublin bar district.
our room had dust eveerywhere and we called to the front desk twice before anything was done and it still was dirty after they "cleaned it" Also the lady at the receptionist desk was rude and our bed was hard as a rock. The room was tiny for what we paid for it.
Friendly staff, quiet room, very clean & fresh.
No kettle to make tea / coffee....
Right in the middle of Dublin sits the Grafton Guesthouse. It’s a small hotel that is close to all of Dublin’s nightlife venues, tons of restaurants, bars, and shopping centers. There are cultural experiences to take in and many popular attractions that guests can easily walk to from the property.
The boutique hotel only has 15 rooms. The building containing the hotel is Victorian in style, but the amenities inside are modern and convenient. Rooms are all apartment-style. There are singles, doubles, twin, triple, and lofty penthouse apartments. There’s free WiFi, a flat-screen TV, a coffee maker, hairdryers, and safes in all the rooms. The rooms have all been renovated recently. Rooms have features like exposed brick, oak accents, and furniture designed custom for the space.
Guests at Grafton Guesthouse can enjoy a continental breakfast every morning for free with their stays. There is also the choice of a hot breakfast that is served by a sister property not far away, l’Geueleton, a French restaurant. Hogans is the pub that’s on-site at the hotel. Guests can also sneak away to The Bar With No Name, enter under the snail and go up the stairs.
Dublin has endless things to do and see. Rural Pub Tours is just four minutes away. Trinity College Dublin is as well. St Stephens Green isn’t far either. Other attractions are George’s Street Arcade, The Comedy Crunch, Dublin Wellness Centre, and SANDEMANs NEW Europe-Dublin.
