Bed was fantastic
Run out of hot water after one shower, breakfast was cold
it felt clean and modern and was really well placed for the seafront - the staff were lovely and the breakfast especially good
nothing really - i would have liked a bath instead of a shower - but it was a good size room
Convenient for town and seafront
Beds were far too low for middle aged and elderly
Friendly and efficient
spacious rooms and excellent breakfast
Squeeky floor boards
Great hotel, really friendly helpful owners, they have done wonders with the place, and nothing was any trouble to them, Will stay in one of the executive rooms next time! Loved the artwork and the comfortable bed.
I liked the idea that you are given the keys to the front door and you can come in anytime, as I have stayed in other hotels in Eastbourne and you have to knock and wait after certain time so it has a home feeling that you have the keys and get in when you like. the room was nice and big, clean initially but room service didn't do a good job in cleaning daily everything including the bathroom
I wouldn't say I didn't like but it was the room service, I do realise that the hotel is knew but there wasn't people around you could ask, the only way of speaking to somebody is to ring the bell at the front of wait untill the breakfast time, however all staff including the owner were very nice and very welcoming and would like to help.
Our room, the facilities, and especially the breakfast were all very good. Staff were relaxed and friendly - interested in making sure we were enjoying our stay without being intrusive. The large airy lounges on the ground floor displaying exhibitions of contemporary art, made a stimulating and refreshing change from the rather boring seaside hotel ambience that you often get for the price we paid
Unique concept and breakfast a piece of art!
The hotel offers good value for money and is ideally placed for an Eastbourne break being just around the corner from the Theatres. The Da Vinci has its very own art gallery displaying work from local artists, & individual art themed rooms. Our room was clean & spacious with a large comfy bed, & a view of the sea. Very friendly and informative owner. Excellent breakfast with good veggie option.
