Very friendly and accomodative staff. They helped change us to different room, refunded our money for not staying an extra day due to bad weather.Good walking location to the city.
Nothing in specific. May be improvement in heating facility during bad cold days.
We had a wonderful time in Edinburgh and Averon was a great addition to the stay. It was great that we could leave our car there and just walk into the town and to the castle. We had a lovely time, and we actually got engaged while we were staying there!
No, it was great
The hotel is quite close to the city. Breakfast was nice especially the sausages. Our upstairs room was very basic but I saw one downstairs that looked lovely with a wooden beam and fire place. Entertainment by the member of staff who can't speak English is good, so long as you aren't trying to find something out that you really need to know. You can't actually get cross with him though cos he just keeps smiling and nodding and repeating what you say!!! Manuel from Fawlty Towers springs to mind! Would stay again, if we had to but would prefer not to given the choice.
Very basic room, first night didnt even have a bar of soap altho one appeared the following day - no shampoo or the like so don't forget it and as someone else pointed out, no hair dryer. Bed was very uncomfortable until we realised the mattress just needed turned round so slept in it top to tail instead!!
The breakfast was abundant and well presented. The choice was very good. The road where it is situated is quiet but very well-connected by public transport.
The room in which I was had all the amenities but they were well used. Maybe the room needed some tlc.
central location car parking available
no hairdryer in room had to hold shower button to get constant flow of hot water
