Pros. Very spacious room with nicely appointed furniture. Beautiful view of the Castle from the room. Nicely located near Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle so close to popular tourist sites. Desk staff were extremely welcoming and helpful Really impressed by how pleasant everyone was. Breakfast was well done and reasonably priced.
Cons. Unfortunately, while the hotel is nicely situated for tourists, the neighborhood is a little sketchy. Lots of closed businesses, pole dancing school (?) and generally run-down.
