Park View House Hotel

The room that we were allocated was in an annexe of the building, which was not stated when booking. The room was apparently normally only used for single let but when hotel is full it is used as a double. The room was tiny, you couldn't swing a cat in it. Fine for 1 person but not for 2. Double bed pushed against the wall. Again, fine if only 1 person but not for 2. Tea/coffee making facilities for 1 person only. The only window in the room was a velux window. Had to open window during night as room too stuffy, only to have close it half an hour later after rainwater had come in and all over my overnight bag. Complaint made to staff in morning - still awaiting a reply after a further email and promise of contact.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Good location a little outside of the main city.

The shower was cold on one morning when we got up quite late.

Good value for money. Good location with reliable bus service to city centre just outside the door. Room was very spacious, clean and quiet.

The breakfast time, 8am to 9am was very restrictive. It lead to a queue and tables were not set. Appeared to be short staffed at breakfast. Badly need to extend breakfast time.

It was cheap and the breakfast was nice.

i did not like being put in the small room next door. It felt as though the pictures online were used to trick us.
