Cons: The manager Bob, he was very negative about his own hotel! Complaining about the design of the hotel and something about hot water. The hot water was fine and even the hot tub was hot!

Pros: Loved everything about this hotel. The room was very large with a sitting area dining area and a very large bathroom with double sinks! The room also had a working fire place and a very comfortable bed! The room was exceptionally clean and we didn't want to leave. The feel of the hotel is luxurious as soon as you walk in the lobby. The outside does not do the hotel justice. Absolutely worth the value.
Cons: There seemed to be a train beat by and we could hear the horn several times during the night.

Pros: We received an exceptional deal while searching for last minute accommodations through Priceline via Kayak. The Campbell Inn was as described as a majestic ole home on the edge of downtown Eugene. Courteous staff, great breakfast and other nice touches made a quick night's stay a more enjoyable evening than we planned! We'll come back when we're in town and will recommend it to friends.

Pros: The building is so quaint and beautiful. When we walked up to the door it felt so alive and homey with the lucious landscaping. The free wine on check-in was such a nice surprise, as well as the made to order sweet or savory breakfast. We were here for a family getaway, but it would be a perfect place for a romantic getaway. Definitely a must stay!
Cons: The only thing we were upset about were the negative reviews regarding this place. It's not your hip downtown hotel, but a definite for the relaxation of Eugene provides.

Pros: This hotel is very clean and new. Nico at the front desk went out of his way to help us with information regarding our tour of the University of Oregon. Nico does a great job of providing superior customer service! This hotel is a great place to stay if you're visiting the University of Oregon, it is literally across the street.

Pros: When we walked into the room the first thing we noticed was a strong odor of mothballs. It was a spacious, well-appointed room but it reeked! Then we noticed the walls were extremely thin when we heard a lady yelling down the hall to her child outside our door and then heard the kids running around in their room directly above us. (We know it was their room because the mom mentioned the room number while she was yelling). I had to call the front desk to complain about the noise because I could not sleep and I had to get up at 2:30 a.m. for a red eye flight.

Pros: Like many of the hotels located on Franklin Blvd, I would assume the rates are increased anytime there is some kind of event being held at the U of O. I paid $174.00 per night plus fees...and it was not a football weekend. A fair price would have been around 119.00 to 149.00 per night. That said, it is a nice clean hotel

Pros: When I first got there to check in the front desk clerk - Julie helped me. She had a GREAT bubbly personality. What was really surprising is that Julie remembered my name through out my trip. She took interest in talking to me each day of my extended business trip. It made it nice since I was away from home.

Pros: The room was spacious. The name of the motel probably tells you but I wanted to emphasize that it's a very nice looking "wooodsy" motel decor. The exterior is made of painted cedar boards and a massive beam look;, the 2nd floor rooms have vaullted ceilings constructed of exposed beams holding an exposed and good-looking cedar board roof deck-ceiling. The floors are finished oak. The overall feeling is very nice. We had a king-sized bed, and it was comfortable,

Pros: The Timbers has a good location in downtown Eugene, parking, and a room that are nicer than you might expect. You would guess that it will be another cookie-cutter hotel room, but it actually had some character.
Cons: We stayed on New Year's Eve, and there were some people partying directly above us that night. I don't fault the hotel much for this, but it was still annoying.

Pros: It is located at almost the center of downtown and you can simply walk to almost anything. The standard king size room I was given was nice and clean as well.
Cons: I am fine with almost everything except with how Hilton and the staff handled my situation with the room. I originally booked the King Executive Jr suite. However, when I got there, they said there was a problem with the toilet in the room that they sold it to me. As a result, I was only given the choice of a double queen room or a standard King size room. I asked about other King exec suites but they said they cannot change to others. I then asked about the big price difference between the available rooms and if I can be compensated or refunded in anyway. They said they can't refund and they simply gave me a coupon (worth 35 dollars total for 2 people) for breakfast and free parking that is worth like 20 dollars. I was then put into a stand King room. Totally a joke. Super disappointed on how they dealt with my situation.

Pros: The friendly staff gave us an upgrade to a corner room and it was very spacious. The bed was wonderful and the coffee in the room was better than what they served in the restaurant!! Nice fridge and coffee pot in the room. The updates were all nice too!
Cons: When I booked online, they didn't state the extra charges. Parking - $17 per night, Pet fee - $50 and the restaurant food was spendy too! If I had been aware of these fees, I would have been able to compare rates better with other hotels. Other than that, I would have given this place a 5.

Pros: I made a mistake on my reservation and accidentally booked for one week later than I had intended to be in town. Valley River Inn said "no problem" and they changed my reservation to that be night instead of the date one week out. I know that if they were booked solid they wouldn't be able to accommodate me but the front desk staff acted like it was not a big deal and that people make those mistakes all the time. I really appreciated the "customers always right" approach they took.

Pros: We always stay at Campus Inn when we pass thru Eugene. This was at least our 4th time. Service is good, the rooms are clean (well, this time our room had an older bath and the shower/tub showed some age), there's a Continental breakfast, restaurants within walking distance, and now we've discovered the Ruth Bascom walking/biking path just three blocks away. And there's a Whole Foods being constructed a block away. We'll definitely stay again.

Pros: The whole place was nice and clean and very cute! The rooms were modern and the staff friendly. The location was near many restraunts and activities. Also, the location was an easy commute to the interstate making it easy to get around the local area as I traveled around daily.
Cons: This place seemed to attract a younger and unfortunately a louder crowd. I experienced next door neighbors that were incredibly loud and carrying on into the early morning hours. Nobody wants to be kept awake all night or have to confront rowdy neighbors! Also the fitness center left something to be desired. It was outdated and tiny. It would be fairly unmaneuverable if there were more than 2 people in there.

Cons: Be careful when booking this hotel with the intention of bringing your pet. First they charge you an additional $10/night in order to get a "pet friendly" room, then when you get there they charge you an additional $20/night for actually bringing your pet. So in essence, there is a $30/night fee for pets which is much higher than other hotels in the area. Not to mention the rooms are musty smelling and in spite of their claim that the hotel was recently renovated, the rooms are far from the nicest in town. Do yourself a favor and choose one of the newer hotels in the Gateway area of town, you'll be glad you did!

Access to the hotel is off a one way street and somewhat difficult to access if your going the wrong way. Toilet in the room was not working well and I had to get a plunger and plunge the toilet multiple times. Shower handle poorly installed and difficult to get it in the right position to turn on and then turn off. Water pressure was very limited. (My room was on the third floor).

It is about 60 years old and when Choice Hotels took it over in 2006 there was some work done, I would say mainly only painting. I understand it is due for another makeover. We were exhausted from being on the road for eight hours and had booked this motel in advance. It was late and we decided to stay regardless of the condition of it. The linen was old, the matress very thin, the tub had several large chips in it and the door had obviously been kicked in as the repair was amateur to say the least. The fridge had a broken thing along the side and since we have had a bed bug experience we always check the bed and furniture just in case. The bed did not reveal any bugs or their excrement. But when I checked the upholstered chair by lifting the cushion, there was a huge stain in the chair, still wet, smelling rather like urine. No bugs thankfully. Had we not been so tired and already paid for, we would have left. About ten pm the folks upstairs were having a shower, nothing wrong with that but about an hour later before I went to bed I went into the bathroom and almost fell as there was a large puddle of water on the floor and upon examing where it might have come from I noticed a large drop of water on the heated lamp light fixture right above my head. I did not report it until morning as I neede the sleep and what wuild they do but perhaps move us and we could not go thruogh that. I put a towel on the floor and went to bed. The place was just about empty and they put us under an occupied unit with a squeaky floor! I could go on and on but I think you get the point. This place is an enbarassment to your company name. We passed one the next day and we both said, that is what we expected to see that night. The following night we stayed in a Howard Johnson that we were driving by. What a huge difference.
