I booked my room thru Kayak one month prior to my stay I called the hotel in advance to confirm. The hotel stated we had no reservation. I called Kayak third party and after 2 hours of speaking to more than 4 different departments I was told we are sorry the hotel was overbooked and there was nothing they could do. I called the hotel and they said they had rooms but at triple the price. Our trip was ruined and I will never use Kayak again!!!
Great room, location for business and pleasure
Floor was dirty upon arrival, housekeeping did not clean the room at all even thought the floor was dirty upon arrival. They ration towels, 2 people 2 towels, not sure if there is a towel shortage or not.
Beach front location and amazingly welcoming attentive staff
The bathroom in the room had a vented window that opens up toward the bed which does not allow for much privacy while using the bathroom
Housekeeping was awful during this trip. Safety was also a concern. A door leading outdoors was propped open, and when I came home after dinner I saw it open at the end of the hallway. I was alone, and felt scared.
Hidden fees killed the experience
Loved the hotel, clean and had a great room overlooking FTL beach
Surpise $35 a day resort fee, super overpriced room service, and crazy overpriced gift shop completely ruined the experience for me. They will gouge you when you get here. Stay away!
- Broken elevators, so one had to go twice as long to get to the beach. - Unexpected $40 resort fees which did not even include beach umbrellas. - Lack of bathroom privacy in the room. Who in its right mind puts a window facing the room in the bathroom with only a small plank shutter. Overall this is a mediocre hotel at best. There are much better choices nearby like Hilton and W.
Excellent customer service , awesome ocean view!
The rooms are beautiful and very convenient walk across to the beach.
Nothing! It was amazing!
Great place to stay
The staff was courteous and friendly. The Location is perfect for anyone that enjoys being on the beach.
No self parking and Valet was a bit to high in price.
Outstanding front desk staff. Friend, professional and appreciative to have you as a customer. Very clean and value for the money. Will definitely return.
Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort Scam-ish
The room was quiet and clean and had the usual Westin amenities.
No one was at the elevator to the beach so anyone could use the pool and they did. It was ridiculously crowded with people not even staying at the hotel. I had the choice to pay more for a resort fee (35.00+10.00) for chairs on the beach except there were none. The bathroom door was a slider w a 2" gap along w shutters that faced the room which didn't close properly so little privacy in the restroom. The carpet was worn and rippled. The worst of it was the parking: 39.00 a day but at 9pm my partner was called into work. I wanted to return alone but they informed me I'd pay 39.00 + 25.00 for the time we had been there. 64.00 for one day is ridiculous. No self parking, so one is at the mercy of the valet Mafia. Never again. I am a Starwood member and have stayed at many of their properties but this was the worst experience I've ever had.
they upgraded my room! They are nice loved them
Judy was fantastic.
Cost of drinks.
