Restaurants in the hotel were very good. Pricey as to be expected, but the food was a standout excellent compared to other Hiltons right now. The rooms are another story. The hvac system is ancient. There is no fresh air exchange so the humidity is off the charts. Mildew, definitely, and bordering on mold. The cleaning staff was spraying Fabreeze by the gallon (hanging on their carts), Bath towels couldn’t dry (at all) if hung on the shower rod, and the wall furnace/AC just recirculates the air. You get the choice of cold and sticky-humid or warm and sticky-humid. I didn’t have an exhaust fan in the bathroom, so that was just damp-wet 24x7 with the not-surprising odor accumulation. Showers were a coin toss. If it’s peak time, you will get a lukewarm one. I found myself getting up very early (around 2 am on my west coast body clock) just to get a hot shower.
