Pros: Service was spectacular, room beautiful, clean, CJ at the pool bar was phenomenal, made us feel like we were at a true VIP resort, very knowledgeable, helpful attentive. The bellman was awesome that brought luggage to our room, front desk fabulous. People greeting off the boardwalk super friendly. All around amazing. Room service great, I worked in hotels for many years, so I usually can see the operational problems, but this Hotel was amazing, thanks for giving us the 5 star treatment, we will be back with our whole family, highly recommend!!

Pros: Excellent place to stay with the family. I Loved the room service, the food was delicious. From the minute we got there the staff was very friendly and professional. My daughter had a great time at the pool. We had alittle problem with the A/C in our room, but they came and fixed it right away. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Pros: Housekeeping, especially Librada, was extremely helpful. Appreciate that they provide you with an incentive to "go green." The view from the pool area is beautiful! Close to the beach with friendly shuttle drivers to take you to some limited destinations. Walking distance to some stores and restaurants. Really liked Hyde Kitchen!
Cons: Extremely expensive restaurant with limited items in the market. The "go green" incentive doesn't cover taxes. The pool was out of order some of the time we were there. Had to constantly ask and wait for the shuttle (although the staff was friendly about it) and it only goes to very limited places. I had to help someone figure out how to open the door to the pool area, while a staff member watched without offering any help until we were both struggling to open the door (indicating she clearly saw the entire incident take place). Requested a room with one bed and 'preferred view;' we had 2 beds and our balcony was directly across from Wal-Mart (although we could angle ourselves to see the intercoastal waterway). It rained most of our trip- not the hotel's fault!- but guests pay a daily 'activity' fee to use the beach and the pool (along with internet and the shuttle) and we were very limited in what we could use with the weather...and then the pool being out of use at one point. We were unaware of this activity fee until we had already booked.

Pros: Close to nearly everything, great pool seating, excellent valet service (they also transport to nearby attractions). Rooms were very clean with modern furniture and had a very minimalist vibe.
Cons: They only opened in May but it seems like this resort was not ready for guests. We had to be put in 3 different rooms because the AC was not working in the first two. Gratuity is added automatically to all bills, which they don't mention. Limited menu and they only serve breakfast and lunch. No dinner service (yet). Also, in the rooms, there were no books or menu of services offered. When I go to a resort I expect to find a list of phone numbers or extensions to call within the hotel for services offered as well as local attractions.

Pros: Ill start off by mentioning that I usually do not write reviews. However , on this ocasion I was compelled to share my wonderful experience. Overall experience was excellent. Staff was kind and more helpful than I have ever experieced. They truely made our getaway better than I could have hoped for. Great location with transportation provided to nearby attractions for a small per room resort fee which also includes amenities provided on the beach. Pool was perfect temperature and relaxing, although I imagine that during high season it may not be large enough to accommodate all guests. Breakfast was delicious. Rooms with modern feel.
Cons: I can honestly say I did not have any negative experiences during my stay.

Location This hotel is located in Hollywood Beach between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. Hollywood is a mere 2 km from the hotel whilst Fort Lauderdale airport is 9.5 km away. Facilities 250 rooms are located on 8 storeys and can be reached by lift. Staffed 24 hours a day, the reception desk provides a smooth check-in/check-out service. The complex provides a safe, a TV room, room service, a conference room and a business centre. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket. Parking facilities available to guests include a garage (for a fee) and a car park (for a fee). Other services include a hotel shuttle bus. A bicycle hire service (for a fee) gives guests the opportunity to explore the surrounding area independently. Rooms Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. A living area, a kitchen and a bathroom also provide plenty of comfort and convenience. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. A safe and a desk are also available. Pros: Honestly, nothing.
Cons: From checking in to checking out, this hotel was full of not so great experiences. The gentleman that checked us in at almost midnight acted like he had never worked there before. He stared back and forth between the computer and his daily check-in sheet for around 10 minutes. As we walked to our rooms we found the smell of the 6th floor to be quite bad; it smelled of old frying oil, and weed. Then we finally got to our room, we found this room was, like the headline said, nothing like the pictures. We were greeted by small cockroaches, sticky floors, duct taped A/C systems piped through the window, and enough mirrors to make you think you were being watched continuously. Since we showered around 12:30 AM, we got to bed around 1:00 AM. Then at 7:00 AM the entire building was evacuated to a falsely triggered fire alarm. I say entire building very generously because the few staff that were working didn’t even help facilitate the group of people outside. They stayed inside and never even attempted to come outside. As the guests slowly went inside we were greeted by the “security officer” talking quite loudly on speakersphone to what seemed to be a very personal call. All in all, I would’ve preferred to have stayed somewhere else, even if the price was more. This “resort” in no way met regulations, or the standard for living. I distinctly don’t recommend it.

Cons: WE ARRIVED ONE HOUR AFTER RECEIVING A CONFIRMED RESERVATION FROM GETAROOM.COM. THE DESK PERSON AT THE HOLLYWOOD BEACH RESORT KNEW NOTHING OF OUR RESERVATION AND SAID THAT DESIGN SUITES WAS A SEPARATE ENTITY THAT HAD OFFICES IN THE HOTEL FACILITY. DESIGN SUITES OFFICES WERE CLOSED AND DARK; EVEN THOUGH OUR RESERVATION WAS FOR "DESIGN SUITES HOLLYWOOD BEACH RESORT." CALLED GET A ROOM 4-TIMES AND THEY CALLED BUT COULD NOT GET IN TOUCH WITH ANYBODY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM, BESIDES, THE DESK MAN SAID THEY WERE FULL UP. THREE OF MY CALLS TO GETAROOM WERE DROPPED AFTER 20 MINUTES ONLINE AND ON HOLD, I WAS TRANSFERRED TO SOMEONE AT GETAROOM TO FIND US ANOTHER RESERVATION, BUT THAT PERSON ANSWERED AND PROMPLY HUNG UP.

Pros: The room was modern and clean. Very cute. Right in Hollywood boardwalk with beach access, bars and restaurants.
Cons: The building was old and falling apart. Extremely hard to find check in office. A LOT of hidden fees including having to park in a public parking and paying $18 for every 24 hours there. Thin walls could hear every person walking past the room. People were running and screaming in the hall up until 2am the first night, no one at desk would answer phone.

Cons: Room was so dirty. Had blood stains on the sheet and comforter. Lock didn’t work. When I asked to change the key, they made me wait for 45 min outside my door. They charge additional $10 per day resort fee which is ridiculous. Bathroom was a mess. Hair all over the tub. Overall, I gave one star, only because I can’t remove that star.

Cons: The parking is very expensive that is not included in the visit price. On the outside, the place almost looks like a resort hotel. Inside, it look like a 2 star motel. The staff did not put wash cloth and towels in my room, I had to get it from the counter. The interior of the hallways looks 1960 with a filthy carpet. The room was very small, but at least looks clean. I would not suggest this location except for absolute last resort.
