Decent breakfast, had enough customers that they didn't do the "sorry we ran out at the end of the breakfast time period", in fact they stayed open about 15 minutes longer than advertised on Saturday and Sunday. The hotel is in an industrial area by the IUPUI campus. One entrance to parking lot, well lit, ten foot wall on 16th St and train tracks sides, hotel and an industrial building complete the perimeter. Appeared to have someone watching the parking lot at night. Professional staff, clean room.
SIS
Price, beds, pillows, and a great free breakfast. No other hoops I need you to jump through. Inspite of other reviews and location I never experienced any of those concerns. I all honesty the location is perfect.
Although construction is on site it had no impact on my comfort or rest
Nice rooms terrible shuttle service
the young man behind the counter who checked us in was very kind and helpful. After hearing the long hours i had put in in order for us to arrive he booked my wife a shuttle to return back to the hotel when she was done visiting her mother at memoria so i could get some sleep.
my wife, fearing to be late, was waiting 10 minutes early for the shuttle to arrive, after a half an hour of her waiting, fearing being stranded, and blowing up my cell as i was sleeping, she finally awoke me. The shuttle never came. When i finally returned to the hotel with my wife i promptly voiced my opinion of their terrible shuttle driver/service only to be harassed by the employee responsible. Even to the point of pestering my phone line as i was trying to rest. I Never will return.
Great hotel
The rooms are very up to date and extremely clean. The WiFi was excellent. The location is central to most of downtown.
Avoid if possible
Lobby was nice Bathroom was decent
I had a reservation for two queen beds. When I showed up, they gave me a room with one king bed and a fold-out couch. When I returned to the front desk, they told me that was all they had and could not offer anything else, and insisted that my reservation was for one king bed, even though I provided them a printout showing it was two queens. This was all quite embarrassing, as I am sure my colleague was negatively judging my choice in hotel. After being rejected on the front desk and resigning ourselves to the room, we discovered a pile of peanuts under the fold-out couch, and also that no bedding for the couch had been provided anywhere in the room, which required another call to the front desk. The mattress was extremely thin and uncomfortable and the sheets and blanket were thin and threadbare. The carpet had a number of disturbing red stains on it, and the advertised "city view" was of some railroad tracks, dumpsters, and a muffler shop. The walls are thin and the hallways were loud. The wifi was also extremely slow.
Just Right
The staff, especially Ashli made me feel right at home with my stay. The grounds and facilities were always squared away.
The room layout is a bit awkward with the large screen TV occupying the desk area. If you wanted/needed to sit at the desk and have the TV on, you may develop a strong headache from being so close.
We needed a hotel close to Methodist Hospital. This suited our needs. The front desk staff was especially helpful. The room service was surprisingly good.
It is probably the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Lots of noise from the hallway, and I could actually hear the entire conversations of the people in the room next to me.
