After we upgraded to a room with Ocean view the experience was wonderful.
The Key West View room we originally booked had an awful view of mostly other rooms, balconies, concrete and car park. You could see a bit of ocean from one corner of the balcony but to call that a room with a view was an exaggeration. We had to upgrade to get a nice view. The move to Ocean View room was expensive but totally worth it.
Great location and friendly staff
Ive stayed here before and had an excellent experience, which was what prompted me to return. Unfortunately, this time did not meet my expectations of a Waldorf property. Upon arrival there was not a single employee outside the hotel. I unloaded all luggage myself. There's NO ramp at this hotel, so i had to lug every suit case up the stairs. Sweating in a suit and arms full of bags and suit case handles, a customer sitting in the lobby ran out to hold the door for me, and even said, "wow, you'd expect more from the Waldorf" to which i said, "you read my mind." The front desk attendant was polite and informed me that valet was at a staff meeting and she did help me with my bags to my room. Also, I ordered room service one night. Like the card said, i called the number to have them retrieve my tray, which i left outside of the door. 12 hours later when i was leaving in the morning, the tray was still there. I didn't have a horrible experience by any means. But given that this is a waldorf property, i expected excellence, and i did not experience that.
Nice location not worth the money
Dishonest staff with poor attitude. Bathroom in lobby was filthy. Poorly managed and needs updatng
The people where very nice, service was fast and accurate. The Cuban Sandwiches where very good. Great roast pork! I complimented the chef.
The extra charge for parking. It seems petty to charge $20 per night that your 1 car is parked in the parking garage. the cost for the weekend was plenty. The breakfast was good but a little pricey.
Dirty rooms and no ocean view with unfriendly staff!!!
The location was great, staff very attentive and the decor was very contemporary and upscale.
Better view from room.
Nice location right by the beach and nice room with really comfortable king size bed.
Noisy air condition in the room
It was clean and staff was friendly.
The design of the hotel leading to the rooms was a maze for which I did not care for as it was confusing to find your room, elevators and parking garage. Also I did not realize that they charged for parking per day.
The localization. The construction of the hotel almost inside the sea. The bridge over the sea. The garden and the lights at night...
The vallet isn´t necessary at all. The Serbian recepcionist take an enternity with us and our bags all around the hotel from the lobby till the room.
The rooms were very well appointed and comfortable. The pool and beach area were extremely clean and well kept. The are plenty of water activities and beach games. The staff were friendly and helpful. The main part of Key West is only a 5 min walk for good food, shopping and nightlife.
The bar shuts at 10pm every night even at the weekends! Not good if you just want to relax and enjoy a couple of drinks. Parking is at an extra cost of $15 a night which is not included in the $25 resort fee. There was no mention of this when booking.
We had a nice and spacious room with a balcony overlooking the sea. What we did not like is the fact that the hotel is made of several intricated buildings. Our kids's room was far from our room and from the lobby.
Location is wonderful. Step out of your room and directly to the beach.
No Menu inside the room.
Room AC worked well. Nice bathroom amenities.
Booked 2 suites (same $) . One was a suite, one was definately not. Staff confused and a little inept. The elevator smelled disgusting throughout the stay & had no AC so you held your breath every ride.
