Amarin Samui Hotel

We stayed for only 2 seperate nights as we were heading to Koh Tao for a few days and just needed a place close to the ferry that was nice. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They are by far the best we've had whilst on our holiday! The rooms were lovely and clean. The concrete floors give the place a bit of 'chic' look about the place but we loved it. The free DVD library down at the reception counter was a really nice touch too. We didn't use the rooftop pool but it looked great. I would definitely recommend it this place to anyone.

The staff were very helpful, courtesy and polite.

Our only 'complaint' was the lack of service at the pool area. No-one ever came up to check if anyone was actually using the pool or if there were any problems. Also if we wanted drinks or snacks there was not a phone or any facilities to be able to call and put in an order. As the pool is on the top floor I had to go down one level and walk through a restaurant into the laundry room and ask a member of staff to call the restaurant for me, otherwise it would have meant taking the lift to the ground floor in wet bathing costumes. We used the pool quite a lot and only once did we manage to get a drink & food delivered. There should be a phone available, for emergencies if anything else.
