Pros:The staff here are great. They are always smiling and laughing. They speak very good English which was nice and they were very accommodating. We paid for the cheapest double room (as my girlfriend and i are long term travellers, therefore on a budget) which turned out to be right on the beach but sheltered under some trees which kept it cool. It had a hook for a mosquito net above the bed but no net. I asked at reception but she said they didn't supply them for the standard rooms. However they managed to rustle one up from somewhere and brought it to our room and installed it for us. This seemed common place for the staff here to go a little further to make your stay as good as it could be. Also it should be noted there are lots of free activities the hotel provides for you. Table tennis, badminton, volleyball, and kayaking. There is a pool table but it's 20 baht a game.
Cons:Only dislike was how expensive the food was. It was amazing food. So fair enough I guess but being more of a "get breakfast for two on the side of the road for 40 baht" kind of couple a dinner of fresh bbq fish with a potato and some veg for 450 baht was a little steep. It should be said though if you are coming on holiday here for a week then you are probably ok with spending that much on dinner as it's actually only a £10. Also a minor detail is the beaches on the whole island aren't that amazing. The beach at the hotel is ok but the people there work hard to keep the place as clean as possible as lots of rubbish is washed in from the mainland. The hotels staff deals with this well and maintains the beach to a fairly high standard.
