tv had poor reception, hotel wanted us to change rooms instead of attempting to fix or replace tv line. with disabled mother and wife in tow this was not a viable option. noisy with dogs barking in cars

Not great, but appropriately priced
Staff was somewhat disorganized but very friendly & helpful. Said they "took security very seriously" when we noticed how the guard & their security monitor having twice as many cameras as most banks. Cheapest rate available for last minute bookings other than hostels & another motel with a horrible rating. Not far from downtown. Next door to a much bigger casino hotel that had an OK buffet.
Wifi not free, and even paying the higher $4.99 rate per day, it was unusably slow speed. Was supposed to be a non-smoking room, but had clearly been smoked in a lot (smell). Sheets had some dark smudges (maybe cigarette ash), towel was dirty. Bathroom counter hadn't been cleaned. Housekeeping didn't come in during our stay even tho front desk asked if we would like them to. Plumbing noise from neighbors taking shower or flushing toilets very loud. Couple sketchy looking guys wandering around parking lot, seemed to be passing thru. Lots of security and specific policy about evicting people if they had non-guests in their rooms after 9pm suggests they've had a lot of problems here in the past.

Safety in the neighborhood, there was no security present at the hotel or parking as there are a lot of carjackers and prostitutes who try and either steal your car or offer you there "services". On our first bight alone after leaving our room to eat from afar I saw them scoping our room and almost try and brake in after I saw them and ran back after which they ran away. This did not matter much at all as their group seemed to scope the motel regurlarly anyways. The motel area and the security provided is not good unless you stay in your room with the deadbolt on. Furthermore the cleanliness was poor when it came to the floor and some of the towels.
