Overview

Directly opposite of Leipzig's grand main station, the Best Western Hotel Leipzig City Center, Leipzig, Germany, is a well-placed hotel for city breaks and business trips alike, with comfortable rooms, free Wi-Fi, and a generous breakfast to set up the day. Step out the door and one of Germany's largest station shopping malls sits across the way, with trams and trains reaching the trade-fairgrounds in about twenty minutes and the airport in half an hour. The old centre is a short walk on. Leipzig is a city of music, books and bold ideas, where Johann Sebastian Bach led the choir at Saint Thomas Church for nearly thirty years. His tomb still lies in the church, grand concert halls and a famous opera keep the music playing, and lively cafe-lined arcades and courtyards wind through the old centre. On the edge of town, a towering monument marks a great Napoleonic battle.
