Not maintained.
Old character of the hotel. Sad to see the management not capitalizing it.
Poorly maintained hotel. Got hurt by glass piece on the floor. Walls and bathroom all run down.

Classic
I am a fan of antique hotels and this did not disappoint. This place has soul and history and fun little surprises. The room was spacious and bright with several seats and tables. Big bright bathroom with good mirrors. I had read reviews complaining that the beds were too hard...the bed was a bit stiff but after a long flight it was perfect for straightening my back and I felt great the next day. Waking up to bird calls in the courtyard might have helped as well. Such an easy walk to museums and tourist sights. I want to stay here again.
A couple if the lights were out in my room, including the closet. I was only there for a night so didn't complain.
