Very happy with the quietness and atmosphere
The room was as we had expected with 4 poster bed and double shower. Breakfast was good.
On arrival at 3.10pm we were greeted by Steves mum who showed us to our room. We found there was no heating on despite it being only 5 degrees outside. On complaining about the lack of heat we were informed it was on a timer and would be coming on later!!!!! We had booked a romantic 4 poster room with bay window seating in order to spend some time alone together for our anniversary. We ended up going out for a coffee in order to get warmed up!! Breakfast had to be ordered the previous day, and our order was wrong when brought out next morning! The double shower came complete with black mould all round the bottom seal, and the small toilet was so close to the wall I could hardly sit on it! ( I am average build). We never saw Steve!!!!
Good breakfast and shower clean
Shortage of towels. Payment taken before staying at house!!!!!
We were welcomed warmly and able to park directly infront of the hotel. The large gold fish tank in the entrance was very calming.
We had a four poster bed which was not appropriate for us as we are both very tall, although the owner did offer to take the top off. We just had to remember to duck when standing up so we didn't bang our heads.
location and friendliness - it was just around the corner from all the shops and pubs/restaurants
the curtains were too light so at daybreak the room was flooded with light!
- the location is great. we can walk around the city easily.
- bed is too soft and uncomfortable, so my boyfriend got a backache.
the room was a good size and very clean. the location of hotel was ideal.
friendly staff and food was excelant
All round excellant, would definately return.
friendliness of the staff, convenient for the town, nice breakfast.
Very small ,old fashioned room, shabby 1970's decor, room not serviced during our stay.very limited parking.
