The location was good with fair access to the bus and train stations
No free wifi, no free breakfast, continental breakfast was far from continental, the walls are cracked, the beds are old and need to be replaced, unless you're keen on waking up with sore ribs in the morning.
Location was perfect for connections - West End and O2 - as well as Earls Court and surroundings. Museums within walking distance.
Room was very small - only just adequate.
The rooms are very small but this is central London so to be expected. Room very clean and at this price great value, I got the room for £44 !!
Shower was only just big enough to get into and shower head kept slipping.
Location was ideal short walk to Gloucester Road Tube and a large Sainsbury nearby.
No WIFI in room and no digital TV,
The room was extremely clean, tidy and comfortable.
The staff at reception weren't friendly or welcoming and the internet was not working but the staff were not apologetic about it at all.
Breakfast was relaxed, good quality, and tasy. The outside appearance of the hotel was attractive, as was the reception area.
We were in Room 1. We felt rather 'out of the way. There was no chair in the room so we had to put things on the floor. The flex on the lamp at one side of the bed was not long enough for the lamp to be plugged in next to the bed. We had to move the kettle from that position to another to make a hot drink. The plaster was peeling around the socket.
Nicely refurbished, friendly staff, pleasant modern atmosphere
Cash payment only, & not made clear enough on booking.
Room clean, fresh towels daily, good shower, good breakfast
Payment requested at check-in; cash only accepted; steep stairs to basement room; strange smell in corridor; no towel rail, bin or shaver point in bathroom
Clean room, plenty of hot water.
Continental breakfast very poor. Sawdust bread, very dry unedible croissants, no fruit available. No hotel sign on the front door - walked past it twice.
Shower was very poor. I had to pay cash for the room as your hotel could not invoice our company and could only take cash payment.
Stayed here 3 yrs ago, and the hotel needed "upgrading" then. The new owners have really done an outstanding job in painting, remodeling, and updating all the rooms/showers/amenities. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again. Staff were very helpful and the breakfasts were very filling. Loved having an electric water pot in my room to have water for tea/coffee which they provided. My room was immaculately cleaned each day. The bathrm facilites were very modern, as were the tv, altho the channels were limited.
When I arrived at the hotel, they did not have a copy of my internet reservation. Luckily I had a copy with me, and after a few mins they were able to rectify it. However, I was shocked to learn that they weren't authorized yet (as new owners) to take credit cards! No where on my reservation did it state that, so having to come up with the cash for a 6 night stay, really dented my travel money. I would also suggest that the hotel have some type of shelves in the bathrm/shower to hold soap, shampoo, towels etc. In the future, I hope the hotel will be authorized to take credit cards.
