I stayed at the Piccolino Hotel , I must say the location is excellent, close to the underground. The reception staff very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast is a bare minimum..instant coffee !! THe rooms are very dirty, blood stains on the bed covers, curtains black but should be white...never changed the linens in the 4 days..only towels!
The receptionist was very helpful when I asked for a quiet room - he put us at the back of the hotel which was very quiet. The shower room was immaculately clean - and no hint of mould, an astounding feat for a bathroom little bigger than a cupboard. Good convenient location in pleasant area.
I didn't like the hair on the bed when I pulled back the bedclothes (before I'd got in it!). I didn't like the ultra-cheap "croissant" that were served at breakfast. I didn't like the lead-like bed covers that slipped off in the night. I didn't like that the heating didn't work in the room and that the heater I found in the wardrobe had a broken plug. You get what you pay for. Having said all that it was fine for the price.

there was no central heating - was very cold in the room. also wi-fi connection was really very poor
Staff is excellent and very helpful; the rooms are generally well-maintained and refreshed daily; location is great. hotel and location both feel safe.Excellent value for the money.
The wifi was frequently of poor quality; the breakfast was barely passable. Also, not clear why guests are required to leave their room keys with front desk when we leave the hotel. finally, not all rooms have basic information--e.g, location of emergency exits in hotel, check out times, etc.
Room was as per the website pictures. Staff were attentive and arranged for us to have an early breakfast even though breakfast did not officially start until 7.30am. Family room was small but well equiped and met our needs for a one night stay.
