Excellent 10.0
Pros: Our host was the best, she always tried to help us so we can have the best time. The house is really beautiful with a big garden and view of Funchal. Really good breakfast, luxury rooms. We had a lovely stay!!!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great place to stay because it is just a 10 minute drive to Funchal but very quiet and with a nice view. Beautiful garden and nice staff. Breakfast in the garden was lovely. Would stay there again anytime.
Cons: Just one small thing: strange noises in the wall behind the bed during the night. We were used to sleep with ear plugs or headphones in anyway but people who are not might find this noise a little annoying.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent view from the breakfast area.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Huge mansion, with character, amazing garden with a lovely panoramic view over Funchal, quiet and peaceful. Rich and various breakfast served in the garden, can order eggs cooked differently every day, new fruit served every day (one day mango, another day papaya, another day pineapple etc). We got upgraded to a sea view room since there were no other guests when we went - fantastic ocean view from the room / bed - worth paying extra for the sea view. There is a shared living room where you can have wine or dinner if not eating out, can also use the kitchen. Beach towels were provided on request for the days when we went to Porto Moniz or scuba diving. Rita communicated very well through messages, she speaks English and provides lots of advice of what to see and where to eat (she made a reservation for us at a great restaurant!). This is a traditional quinta, nicely preserved, but if you want a modern accommodation look somewhere else. I would totally return here in a heartbeat, it was a lovely stay!
Excellent 9.0
Cons: The bed was comfortable but far too small for two people. Unfortunately our sleep was disturbed.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: A lovely property and very nice host that met us and explained everything - was very relaxed was able to get tea and coffee from the kitchen.,
Cons: The main room which we was lucky to have for 2 nights was lovely but the next one was very dark and faced trees.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Our fourth stay here - as usual, everything was perfect. Rita is a great host. We always recommend QSG to friends planning to visit Madeira. My wife is a travel writer at www.packthesuitcases.com and has some photos of the views from the Quinta on there. It's the perfect place to stay.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Wonderful staff. Very professional, especially Nuno and Magda. Really nice people who went out of their way to help and make my stay a nice one. Rooms were clean.
Cons: Location. It was far away from the city center. The hotel is located on a hill so any return trip is an uphill hike that just means one arrives sweaty and overheated in the summer heat. There were ants in the kitchen that never went away. In general, it's about time the rooms were updated.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful views from my bedroom and from the breakfast area. Peaceful and quiet area of Funchal but very close to old Funchal and the main central area. Breakfast was delicious! My room was very spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff was amazing! They were so helpful and committed to make us feel welcome and well.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The option to have a late breakfast was terrific. I think they served breakfast up until 2pm. Very nice when you want to have a lazy day. The view from where they serve breakfast was epic. Never felt rushed at any point. The room was a good size and clean. The staff were excellent and very polite. Nuno was great. We hired a car for a couple of days and parking at the hotel was made very convenient. I found ARTS IN Hotel to be in a great location. It's about a 5-10 min walk from where the restaurants and attractions start. Nice and peaceful during the day and night.
Cons: I really can't think of anything I did not like.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: excellent breakfast, nice view, beautiful garden
Cons: Lack of fridge
Okay 4.0
Pros: Reception was really polite and helpful. Parking was really useful/comfortable. Garden was quite nice but small.
Cons: Hotel was clean but quite old - for example, a falling refrigerator door. Breakfast was really poor. Each day same low-quality food. Pretend english breakfast. Not tasty fruits (I think it was supermarket, nothing bio for sure). Terrible coffee.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Super good location, close to the center but super calm and quite street. Beautiful garden and terrace and lovely spacious rooms. Can only recommend, it was a real nice experience with the plus of having a garage to park our rental car. Sweetest staff!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Good location in a nice garden with the terrace overlooking Funchal, rich tasty breakfast with daily fresh juices, comfortable room with the little kitchen, underground garage available and very friendly helpful staff. Highly recommended:)!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We booked ARTS IN for 2 nights to explore Funchal and we really enjoyed it! The bed was super comfortable, hotel itself stylish and in a great location, it was quiet too. We had a new homemade pudding flavour everyday for breakfast, which was definitely a nice touch! Staff is friendly and helped us with any question we had.
Cons: This is not a minus of the hotel per se, but be prepare to climb a bit, if you are walking from the city :)
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very good location, good breakfast. Nice staff. We really enjoyed it :)
Cons: We don’t like mattress, it was like on watterbed :(
Good 6.0
Pros: The property, garden, terrace and view are pretty. I was able to work in the terrace with good wifi connection. The kitchenette was functional to make a simple meal.
Cons: The room, and service are quite basic.

Pros: Ambiance Beautiful setting Gardens
Cons: Na
Good 7.0
Pros: Both of us had massages in the spa which were exceptional. The gardens, pool and tennis court were peaceful and well maintained.
Cons: Our evening meal at the restaurant was disappointing. The waiting staff rushed our dinner, serving us three courses in just over one hour. As soon as we finished the dessert the waitress left the bill on the table, with still over half a bottle of wine for us to finish. There was no music or ambience. I am a vegetarian and have been catered for by every other restaurant and hotel in Funchal. But there was no vegetarian main course on the menu and I was told by the waiter that I should have called the hotel in advance to let them know, which made me feel embarrassed and excluded. We complained about the dinner and the reception took off the cost for one person, but we were still left disappointed and went into Funchal for every other dinner. Although we were upgraded, our room still felt small and the bathroom was in need of modernisation.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This is our next visit to this wonderful hotel that can confidently be called a second home. Anyone who is looking for a cozy atmosphere, appreciates privacy and the highest level of service will be satisfied. And all this surrounded by unparalleled greenery and views. See you soon
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Fantastic location, comfortable interiors and irreplaceable service. A romantic, picturesque place with a soul. I recommend it to anyone who values privacy, tasty cuisine, playing tennis and golf and wants to wake up with a smile on their face. See you soon !
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Absolutely lovely. Great building, wonderful gardens and wider grounds. A levada walk to Monte very near. I did there and back in 5 hours and I'm not that fast. Not much else in walking distance . Very relaxing, particularly during pandemic! And reasonably priced at the time I went. I got an upgrade to main house. The restaurant and spa are a little expensive for me but the tea room and club house are fine. I spent most of my time in the gardens. Of course it is a little cooler than in Funchal and damp outside in the morning
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful place really well kept especially in current circumstances very clean and COVID safe. Restaurant superb Luiz and his staff really great couldn’t do enough. Food excellent both dinner and breakfast. Nice walk to golf club, facilities there great as well. Thoroughly recommend this place.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: everything was nice, we enjoyed our stay here.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: All was excellent including the buffet breakfast.
Cons: I doubt anything could have been better.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Location was perfect. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful and breakfast each morning was really good.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Friendly staff and great beach bar just outside hotel
Cons: Could top up the coffee, tea & water in room daily
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great breakfast, amazing location! Extremely competent and nice staff. We loved the arsenal and barreirinha beaches just next to the hotel and all the restaurants at zona velha. Best location in Funchal, it does not get better than this.
Cons: I am not sure the hotel is to blame for this but for a younger couple the atmosphere at breakfast can feel a bit geriatric as most costumers are 65+ . Maybe the marketing department could target younger generations to have a more age-balanced clientele. No disrespect meant to the eldest costumers of course.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff very efficient. Cleanliness exceptional. Location excellent. Breakfast spread generous.
Cons: It’s just a suggestion for improvement- if they could provide a smoothie station with almond and soya milk for people on allergy diets.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very friendly staff always on hand to assist , good varied breakfast , location excellent
Cons: People who saved sun loungers

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beutifull place with nice teracce, comfortable bed, big bathroom.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Our stay at Palheiro Village was an absolutely wonderful stay. Our villa/hotel had an excellent view of the sea and city of Funchal. It was clean and very spacious. The staff up at the Forum were so friendly and helpful and the meals were delicious as well. If and when we return to Palheiro we will only stay here as it truly was the best place with exceptional views and a superb staff. Thank you for an extra special holiday!
Cons: We really enjoyed our stay and have nothing to complain about. Thank you for a great stay.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Plenty of space, comfy beds, parking in front of apartment, quiet place. Center easily accessible by car -7min drive.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Our house was beautiful and comfortable. Kitchen was well equiped and staff was nice and friendly! They were very thoughtful and we decided to have breakfast once at the property and it was wonderful. Location was ideal for us because we had a car and it was close to funchal(10 mins) and 15 mins from the airport. Pool was amazing as it was heated and our daughters love it!
Good 7.0
Pros: Very good location. Spacious, homey, great view. Laundry area very good.
Cons: Lots of the appliances ie. dishwasher was broken, the main oven was broken, the cooker malfunctioned big time, ants everywhere, there was cat hair in the bedrooms. Bedrooms had carpets which didn’t help so we had LOTS of allergy.

Good 7.0
Pros: Very nice place
Cons: The coffee
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The place is very beautiful, great terrace, a clean pool at any time of the day, fast internet. The hostess herself is very cool and funny. We liked everything very much, we will be glad to come back again!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The room is large and equipped with very stylish antique furniture. There is a separated, "private" section of the terrace with a direct access to the swimming pool. The breakfast was served right in front of our windows. Since the house is located on the hillside, you can get a decent view of Funchal (although slightly obstructed by the vegetation).
Cons: The towels were clean but had a slightly unpleasant smell. Also, it took almost 10 minutes to get the "hot" water warm enough to take a comfortable shower. The location itself is quite easily accessible if you go down from Monte with the sledges, but not so much if you want to travel by bus around the city (bus no. 19 goes every 30-45 mins but for most destinations you need to get to the city centre and switch buses). Also, note that the street is really steep, so if you have any problems with your knees, you'd best consider going by car.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything perfect. Stephania is an amazing personable professional host.
Cons: Mattresses need upgrade
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Pretty villa up the hill within beautiful green scenery, a panorama of Funchal in the background. Fast wifi in the room and on the terrace plus good cellular reception in the area, well-equipped kitchen, a clean, small pool and attentive staff. Extremely good value.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Although we arrive late we were warmly welcomed, the garden and the views were very nice, a bit more steep hills for driving rented car so glad that this was our last night as we get used to drive by then. Great location !
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very kind hostess who made us feel very welcome! This is a beautiful place to stay with a garden with a beautiful view over Funchal and a swimming pool. The rooms are clean and cosy!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Best price quality ratio! Loved it. The owner is lovely. The rooms are very nice and the view from the breakfast is stunning.
Cons: All was great
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very nice place. Amazing garden. Great host. Nice rooms with really comfortable beds. Clean and tidy. Beautiful views.
Cons: The only thing is that you can hear everything. Ifnyou come with friends, note that after 22 it will be impossible to have drinks and njght talks. It is not a downside, but simple fact. It is a quietbllace. But recommended highly.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location is really good and it has a nice view to Funchal. The staff is super friendly. The room is really comfy and the bed was giant!
Cons: The breakfast could be more varied or they could give us different options.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Perfect location with a great view over the Funchal bay. We enjoyed the beautiful garden, swimming pool, and a sauna. Very nice staff, perfect service, good dinner in the hotel restaurant. Even though the place is a bit far from the city center of Funchal, it is accessible by a public bus or a shuttle bus.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The hotel is exceptional, spotlessly clean, beautiful interior, they upgraded us to a great room with views over Funchal. We were there only 4 nights which are definitely not enough, so much to see and do. Breakfast was really good!!, except for the coffee.
Cons: The hotel is at the furthest point on the west that you see from Funchal. You need the shuttle bus to get down to town centre and it only sets off at 1000, 1200 & 1500. It is booked up most of the time. 4 of us paid 2 euros each way twice a day, expensive at end of stay. It's also a white knuckle ride down, the drivers must have been formula 1 drivers to get the job. Absolutely brilliant views though.
Good 7.0
Pros: Everything was organized and clear. Room was clean and kept up well. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Big fan of the breakfast as well as the top floor terrace and pool. Depending on what room you have there is a great view on the city of Funchal and the sea next to it.
Cons: I really disliked how noisy the room was. I could hear everything outside and it became apparent the hotel is located right next to a pretty busy street. There were multiple dogs barking literally non-stop which kept me from sleeping properly. Other than that I would have liked to be able to do some things in the hotel room, like make tea. Instead of having to go to the restaurant/bar for everything.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: I would recommend this hotel especially if you are looking for a place where you can spend some time just chilling in the swimming pool and enjoying the weather. Location is perfect, beautiful view from the roof terrace, rooms clean and comfortable, staff very friendly and professional. Plenty of space to relax by the pool and the garden next to it. There is a drinks/lunch bar next to the pool as well as pool table, sauna and spa room (spa sessions have to be pre ordered at reception). Restaurant offers delicious dinners.
Cons: My only suggestion would be to place the pool table in a room where is more place around. It is impossible to play as the pool stick does not fit around!
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The location of the hotel is good to explore the island, nearby you can find Continente supermarket. The cleanliness of the room is also good (Im writing about modern building above the restaurant). The personal is very good. Recommend 100%.
Cons: We booked the family quadruple room with the bay view and Funchal city view, but we got the room where the view was to the wall... Room number was 308... You need a car to go around, because the hotel is about 7 km from the city center, if you dont have a car, the hotel haves their own bus that runs several times through out the day to Funchal center. And It is impossible to walk around the hotel, because it is situated on the road and there is no sidewalk on this road and usually local drivers drive too fast... very dangerous...
Mediocre 3.8
Pros: The pool is very cold but to lay out there on a sunny day is nice. But it has to be sunny and warm, otherwise a waste of time and money.
Cons: It should not be a 4* hotel. Old and heavy and uncomfortable furniture, very bad soundproofing (you hear everyone walking in any room close-by, the door to the balcony is also useless as the traffic sound is the same as if they were in the room), they charge extra for the use of the safe, there is no kettle or any coffee facilities, the fridge is very small, the rooms are in general not nice. The pool is too cold for anyone to swim in it. There were 2 people that tried and everyone called them heros. Why would someone make a pool and keep it so cold?!!! From the reviews on the breakfast I thought it would be at least serving pasteis de nata! But no... basic food, canned mushrooms and watery eggs, plastic cheese and ham, some fruits, sugary juices and horrible coffee and that's all. Not worthy... The staff are nice and trying but overall i would not stay there again. On top of everything, the internet was down during the whole 4-day stay. In a place that is not downtown to have access to other things, being left without internet was just not professional!

Mediocre 3.0
Pros: The location is good. The room size is comfortable.
Cons: The kitchen was a bomb site and the cleanliness of my room was very poor (sheets had stains that looked like blood and the floors hadn’t been swept in ages). The place is very loud too so it’s hard to sleep as there are people up in the hallway/balcony until the early hours. Never met the owners, don’t think they were around
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It’s just fantastic place to stay in Funchal
Cons: Excellent place to stay!
Good 7.0
Pros: Great view and in an nice area. One of the two staff was really nice.
Cons: Needs some other furnitures.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely host and a very cute accommodation!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location was incredible! Right next to lots of restaurants and bars, super close to the city centre. We stayed at the tower room, where the view over the sea and the city is amazing, lovely sunrises and sunsets.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Friendly staff and they let me check in early without any issues
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The following were all perfect: location, house, host (Grace), room, bed, breakfast. WiFi signal strength in the room was good. Perhaps the best location in town. The nearby bar is great for watching the sunset from (and has it’s own IPA).
Cons: Nothing except my own bedroom at home will feel small after the lovely huge room I had here!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great old house in a great spot in the old town overviewing the fort and super close to lots of restaurants, bars, the Telerifico, bus station, market and many other key spots, with super responsive and accommodating hosts that make the best eggs benedict! The "tower" studio on top has an amazing little balcony with a great view.
Cons: The house is a grand old one - creaky and quirky, which I found charming and adding to the experience, but if you are expecting new facilities, don't be.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: very like that house, interior, staff was so friendly and kind, location - you can't have better location, because outside was pedestrian small street packed with bars and restaurants, up corner was beach ( 200 m ) , Cable Car station ( 280 m ) and bus station, where is pick up point for excursions. On other side there was Farmers Market. And all that's painted 🚪 ❤
Cons: There was small problem with sink, I hope, that they will sort it out 🙃
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Comfortable bed. Two terrace areas. Helpful staff. Dark room in the mornings allowing sleep in. Plenty of restaurants and breakfast cafes outside front door. Short 6 minute walk to centre. Large room with refrigerator and electric kettle. Perfect for long stay. Good wifi. Can arrange scooter hire.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The friendliest staff I have ever met, it's such a lovely and warm family, the son of the family also speaks perfect French and is really happy to get to practice this language
Cons: /
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We were super happy with the host who accepted our very last minute booking. Very kind and helpful person who made us feel at home and helped with whatever we needed. Basic but nice and clean, quiet room. I recommend this place very much to everyone who wants a well located but quiet place to stay.
Cons: Nothing I can think of!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great service and very forthcoming host. Awesome view from the room.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Ideal location in the city center (near bars and restaurants, beach, next to the car rental). Owners are very hospitable and kind.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Amazing accommodation. We have arrived late at night because our flight got delayed. The host was so kind, helped us and gave us tips where to go in the town even though it was so late. We also had the opportunity to park a car in a garage. Nice price and central location! Perfect deal. :)
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Helpful owner, good breakfast, very central , spirit of old good times
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We loved everything about our stay at Mirasol! It’s in the heart of city centre, comes with a parking garage and the room is really nice for the price. What’s the best about this lovely little gem is its homey atmosphere! If you want to learn more about Madeira and get to know local people - you must stay at Mirasol for an experience like no other!
Cons: Everything was great, room and bathroom facilities were all good
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Very nice & helpful hosts. Simple rooms with a good bed. Close to the ocean and Funchal old town
Cons: Breakfast is a bit simple

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff were so amazing that they made our stay feel like home!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: View, Facilities, Room (speaking of Old House) and complete Staff : just excellent.
Cons: A Hotel in this category should not serve Jam & Butter in Plastik Containers for Breakfast. Soja/Almond/Oatmilk and a variety of Muesli Nuts or dry fruits is crucial nowadays. Overall the Menu of the Restaurant should be overworked to make the experience for every Guest total pleasing.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Location is WAY up the hill, so it's a choice between savaging your knees with a walk down to the town, and a taxi.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Staff very friendly, nice view over Funchal
Cons: Small room with dark furniture (needsupdating),very average food ie. Was served raw chicken for Lunch ,dinner was very bland nothing sspecial.Small shallow pool, was charged on check out for extras consumed but even thought i stated that i wanted topp pay for in local currency my card was charged in sterling .
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Fantastic through & through, the view was amazing, all the staff were very friendly & helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay and their service felt very personal. Mirrors were a nice touch and the garden was insane!! Room was modern, clean and beautiful. The spa facilities were great and it was good to be able to unwind after a day of many activities. The free shuttle was quite handy although we had no problem walking to town either as it’s a very pretty & scenic place even though it’s steep
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Bedroom, Breakfast room , Terrace views and Swimming Pool Service by Angela at Front Desk, Daniel and Marco in the restaurant and manager Paulo.
Cons: Fast speed Baskets speeding past the entrance. Every day was a different route on Google Maps - avoid GPS navigation.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The view, breakfast&dinner, the team
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Beautiful view over the city from our very comfortable room. Really lovely dinner and breakfast as well.
Cons: We had a hard time with the key cards to our room. They must have tried 30 different cards to get us into the room which took a considerable amount of time at check-in.

Good 7.1
Pros: Beautiful gardens and the view from the room is amazing. The room is also very spacious.
Cons: The rooms (especially the carpet) and the pool area need to be updated. Food quality could be improved...
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Restaurant a la carte very good. Extensive gardens well cared for.
Cons: At the breakfast buffet the hot selection was barely warm.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: It was a terrific location. Close to the cable car and mountains. The hotel was very clean. Breakfast was included and very tasty. Front desk staff very helpful.
Cons: 1. Low-quality coffee. 2. Mediocre to Bad WiFi in an otherwise great hotel might have kept them from a 5 out of 5 rating.
Okay 5.5
Pros: The hotel has a certain charm, related to the history (the common part in the ancient villa), view from Monte on the ocean and Funchal, the gardens and the large part of the staff.
Cons: The hotel equipment is poorly maintained, not renewed, the noise from the lift motor in the neighboring rooms terrible. Pigeons make balcony every morning so dirty, that it cannot be used. Breakfast offering and organization have a lot of room for improvement.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Spacious bedroom and bathroom with a great view. The garden was absolute lovely. Great to have the tropical garden and cable car so close by.
Cons: We thought the in house restaurant was a bit overpriced.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Quiet hotel, beautiful gardens, elegant furnishings, library with books in English to read. Lovely Views. Helpful reception staff. Good value. Very good restaurant 5 mins away in Babosas.
Cons: No fresh coffee, only instant. No tea/coffee in bedrooms. No bar staff. No internet in bedrooms. Very steep up and down to nearest cafes and restaurants, bus stops and attractions. 4c colder than Funchal centre, 550m below.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: We loved our stay in this hotel: the design was beautiful and felt very luxurious. The rooms were clean and spacious. We had a sea view room with a gorgeous view over the pretty garden and the swimming pool area as well as the terrace. Overall, if you are looking for value for money, proximity to the town centre and a gorgeous view, you should stay in this hotel.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Nice big room, heated good size pool, sea view, very helpful staff, good location in old town for restaurants and buses, quiet, attractive garden, a selection of old Madeira wine.
Cons: No proper coffee for breakfast. Use of an awkward handset device to set the room lighting. Slow breakfast serving but probably due to COVID rules.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything. The hotel is stunning and the rooms beautiful. The breakfast is very varied, make sure you ask for eggs as they are prepped for you. The pool area is immaculate and the views out to sea are great. This hotel is in the old town, near the fort, with several bars and restaurants just a few minutes away. I would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing break.
Cons: The only downside for me was that the hairdryers overheat and cut off. They are the ones attached to the wall in the bathroom. If you can, bring your own. If not, reception will provide you with one.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The room, the breakfast, the noise, and the reception manager
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location - the view, the terraces, the quality and taste of furniture and fittings
Cons: We don’t usually have dinner there because there is such a good choice in the old town. We did once many years ago and it was fine. This time we had one evening meal here, and it was not good, either for choice or quality. We were thoughtfully warned that the duck was tough and and my husband does not eat fish, the alternative, but there was no other option. In fact we wondered if the food had been prepared elsewhere and warmed up. But maybe we picked a bad night…
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Room was spacious, comfortable and clean with great view.
Cons: Unfriendly stuff.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Beautiful garden and view to the sea, clean and overall friendly staff. Very good location in Funchal old town.
Cons: Old fashioned rooms (needed a separate remote to turn on electricity, hairdryer was from the 80s and barely working, loud ventilation in the bathroom) The staff was not very flexible: we asked for a double bed instead of twin beds, and the staff noted this wasn’t possible, even though the hotel was booked at 10-15% capacity.

Pros: Budget room for budget price. Double bed. Bathroom. A kinda balcony but not one that lest the sun in. But nice to just open the window and sit there. Room was cleaned daily. All staff were fantastic. Bar was super cheap. Old town is much better than were all the resorts are. Breakfast was basic butfine for me to start the day. Would recommend and will stay again for sure. Thanks.
