I paid 45 Euros for a double room with shared bathroom. It is decent value for what you are paying for.
The rooms were very dark. I stayed at a hostel my second night for 35 euros in city center. It was more spacious and I had my own private bathroom. Salamanca neighborhood is kind of far from everything in city center.
Great value for money
Reception staff and maps/info available to be commended.
this hostel is a lovely clean and well maintained place. lots of shopping and plenty of supermarkets around. it is close to the airport and bullfighting ring
this hostel is a little out of the way from central madrid
This hostal was near to cafes and bars - this is very necessary as there are no facilities for making a drink in the rooms.
The room we booked was a double - the room we were given was technically a double - a double bed just fitted into the room and nothing else. We had to keep our luggage in the shower room.A kettle in the room would have been apreciated.
there was strong smell of cigarette in the hostel despite obvious signs of no smoking.
the location - 2 mins from metro Manuel Baccera was fantastic, the staff were great too. I got ripped off by a taxi driver and the reception staff tried to call the cab firm to get my money back. If you go to this Hostal please be aware the cab fare from the airport should be 25-30 euros only.
the other guests!! i had one very disturbed night when several guests decided to have a party at 3am!
The personel were very effective giving turism instructions and were very easygoing people.
Nice neighborhood outside city center by easy access to downtown via Metro.
Room with kind of small.
dreadful smell of sewerage every time you entered and left building, refurbishment in progress making lot of noise 8am onwards.
