The Riad is an oasis in the middle of the medina, nice marrocan archtecture and decoration, clean bedrooms, nice breakfast, very nice swimmingpool and kind staff who gave us lot of tips and helped us to find the hostel when we arrived in marrakesh at 10pm! I would definetely stay there again.
Great place. Nice, clean and authentic feeling in the whole hostel. Exellent service and tasty pancakes for breakfast.
The location of the hotel by itself gives a touch to the marrakech, its impossible to find without help, its like going through a small maze but you will enjoy once you know the way. Really safe, never felt threatened to walk alone around 3 in the night too, may be entire marrakech is like that. Lot of like minded people, best for people travelling alone, you would meet lot of people to go around with or a drink in the terrace in the evening.
My room was a six sharing room and I stayed there for 3 days and the bathrooms were never cleaned during the 3 days only just the bed and the sheets were folded up. On the trip around Morocco, paying a 200 DH for a room shared by 6 people sounds expensive although its just 20 in €, The other hotels that I stayed in other big cities offered a big room with a double bed for 200€, The swimming pool was not usuable, the water was so cold, may be its just for summer, like other places they dont heat it up. Simply its best if you are alone, You can get a better one if you are more than 2 for the price that you pay here.
Equity is clean, comfortable, and is full of character. The Moroccan design is beautiful, and the staff are very helpful. You can book excursions and activities through the hostel, or they will help you find alternate sources for guided tours if you choose not to use theirs. The people it draws in tend to be laid-back, friendly, young backpackers. The free breakfast was wonderful, and the views from the terrace are spectacular. Pool and free wifi plus several computers were an unexpected surprise and very nice for when you just want to spend some time relaxing after a vigorous hike in the Atlas Mountains. I have stayed at many hostels throughout my travels, but this one is easily the nicest I've seen so far.
The location is good (right by the big market square), but the hostel itself can be pretty hard to find. You have to go through a maze of alley ways to find Equity. Generally there are plenty of people outside who can help you find your way, but be careful because some will act helpful but then surprise you with an unreasonable bill.
People were very friendly, conditions were great, the location was very good and the hostel is beautiful. Internet and swimming pool are a great treat when you are tired from walking around the medina.
AC wasn't working so the nights were very hot.
The hostel is very well kept with a roof terrace and restaurant, a beautiful renovated riad. Having the pool to cool down in was amazing. Very close to the centre of the medina. Unlimited coffee in the morning.
Although the staff were nice it feels a bit too big to feel very friendly. It is pretty impossible to find if you have never been which is, in fairness, in keeping with everything in Marrakech... The photos make the rooms look a little more luxurious than it feels and we booked a dorm to meet people but ended up with a very small private room.
Uso de cocina, por lo menos para poder hacer un café o te a cualquier hora.
Clean and staffs are very kind. Spacious hostel where everyone can relax.
My reservation was not received at the hotel, although I did have confirmation email from Booking.com. In the end, as the hostel was fully booked, the staff had to find us another Riad nearby and arranged a room for us. I think there is a random or systematic network problem at this site or at the hotel.
The staff were the best, very friendly and cheerful with big smiles all the time and the mix of people that stayed there was fantastic. The place has great character and a very easy going chilled out atmosphere.
The bar was a bit expensive and could use some variety in drinks choices.
free internet, staff, decor - beautiful house, location, kind staff gave me a room to myself as they were not busy.
had to order food in advance, wasn't clear about use of the kitchen. it said in the description that there was a restaurant and bar and this is why i booked but there was no bar and you had to book your food in advance
