The food was good and plentiful and reasonable price. Bar and restaurant service was efficient and friendly,
The beds were awful - you could feel the individual mattress springs. The TV remote didn't work and the TV was connected to an indoor aerial which gave a poor picture. The shaving light was dud. The shower was modern but the flow was poor.
Nice country pub. Pleasant staff.
Shower totally inadequate. The checkout process was a shambles because the person on duty wasn't sure how much I had to pay and the landlord and landlady weren't contactable.
The Hotel is a traditional country pub and the clientel are a mix of characters that can only be found in the English countryside.Accept the atmosphere and it's an entertainment in itself
climbing the stairs
Typical country pub. Owners friendly and welcoming as well as the locals.
The pub is tired and in need of redecoration
The staff failed to awake and make breakfast for the previously arranged time of 08.00 hrs. They eventually arrived at 08.45, making us late for our event. The evening meals were "stoge"and I believe microwavved! The room was not prepared for the last nights stay. The bar was very noisy until about 00.30 hrs on the Saturday morning. Generally the hotel/public house required "an up grade" in every department!
Great breakfast! i have also made an advance book at this hotel for July.
relaxed atmosphere,friendlystaff and locals,
Poor food, room dirty and tv not working. Noise fro pub downstairs until 1230 am. Smell from greasy cooking vend tust outside bathroom window. All this for terrible price. Do not stay here!!!!
It was not en suite
Pleasant atmosphere, good food, good beer.
poor sound proofing between rooms - may be a feature of a genuinely old building
