The light switches and such were hard to flip on and off. Almost like they where recessed in the wall.
Do Not Stay Herr
Inside of room had been renovated.
People were yelling all evening. By 10 they were yelling profanities and about the sex acts they would perform on eachother. I called the front office 5 times and emailed before somebody picked up. She was annoyed I was so upset. She came to my floor - where she could have seen people were congregated from the office and told them somebody had complained. (Not that they were being ridiculous. Horrible.
This was our only alternative as Hurricane Matthew forced people west and all hotels filled up over night. Having read the reviews we were prepared for anything but were pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff, clean room, good bed and linen and bathroom. The "wooden" flooring was a welcome change from nasty hotel carpet. We clearly ended up in one of the renovated rooms so make sure to ask for one.
The A/C was tired and couldn't be manually set so we had to pull the plug overnight not to freeze to death. The breakfast was a synthetic horror show.
Floors in rooms very filthy, toilet seat need chan
The bed was ok
The plumbing was bad, the floors was very gritty, the bathroom was scary, filthy. Update is need in bathroom. Housekeeper knows how to rush you out at 10:00 am, when check out is at 11:00
Convience to the interstate and proxemity to downtown
Overall cleanliness, need to worl harder on overall appearence of rooms (are renovatting at this time)
look for a better deal
location was great
noisy, beds were saggy/lumpy, room was dirty, the parking lot was loud and didn't seem particularly safe
Not Quality at all. Sleep in your car instead.
Close to where I needed to be I'm Mobile.
Dead ants in the bed. Live ants in the bathroom. Dirty comforters Dirty toilet Hair on bathroom floor Extremely loud late night customers Room smelled like mold and carpet fresh.
Price: It was inexpensive. $65ish per night. Cleanliness: it was okay. If there was an okay column I'd put this there. The sink in the bath was clearly pretty new, and It looked like they'd done some other bathroom work recently. But, the shower curtain was a bit mildewed. The floor of the bathroom looked a bit dirty, but I couldn't tell if that was just a poorly done caulk job or if it was just dirty. Staff: They only had one person there. So, no cleaning crew on staff to handle unexpected items. Having said that, the lady that helped me in the morning was GREAT! really personable and smart. The night staff was just okay.
Security: the property itself is in an okay neighborhood, but it feels close to sketchy stuff. the layout is more of a motel style as opposed to a hotel with an interior lobby and interior hall ways. In other words, anyone random can come knock on the door without having to pass the front desk at all. Comfort: The bedding felt fine, but my first room had a broken A/C and the second room had an A/C that was in Celsius or something other than fahrenheit.
Much better than when I stayed here two years ago
The housekeeping and maintenance staff was friendly and helpful. I was there on a Saturday a week before Mardi Gras. I'm sure that is the busiest time of year for them but when we found our shower didn't drain properly, the maintenance man came right away and fixed it. We did not have to wait. The room was much cleaner than when we stayed at this hotel 2 years ago. Pillows and blankets were comfortable. Convenient location.
One out of two washers and dryers was broken.
