Pros (+) I liked how it was located within everything. 10 minute drive to the Monterey Aquarium and to delicious food. There was the Del Monte outdoor plaza right across from the Inn as well.
Cons (-) I think the necessities could’ve been better, the bed kept slipping and rolling around when you had your back against the headboard. The room smelled strongly of bleach so we had to get candles to hide the smell. And one of the towels had a big hole in it.
Cons (-) Staff was rude and the housekeeping staff did not close blinds and leave air conditioner on when it was 100 degrees. Upstairs bedroom was about 100 degrees all night. The air conditioner was downstairs and there was not even a fan to be offered by hotel. The only thing they offered was that I could check out. Even after an email to the general manager. Pros (+) The room was actually nicer than I expected. Great location too. 1 exit down from the 17 mile drive, we made use of that! We will probably stay here again on our next trip

The office staff member changed our room when I notified him of my unhappiness and upgraded us to a two level suite. Great deal on aquarium tickets. Cons (-) First room was terrible. Torn curtains. Torn chair. Spotted lamp shades. Very disappointed. Pictures are deceiving. There is no view to speak of other than the street or the parking lot. The outside furniture does not look like the pictures. Outside fire area was never lit. Had the worst elevator. I thought that it would break every time we were in it. Had to use the stairs out of fear.

Pros (+) I liked everything. Very central location. Close to shopping/restaurants. Close the 17 mile drive. Cannery Row was less than 10 min away. Room was great, pool was great, staff was great.
Pros (+) The staff is amazing here. Danielle went out of her way to accommodate us and really made our stay perfect. The complimentary breakfast was also delightful. I would definitely stay here again.

Pros (+) LOVE the fireplace in my room, it's real and makes just the right amount of white noise for a great sleep. Appreciate the microwave and minifridge, and the sitting room was nice. Outdoor firepits are a nice touch. A little too far from central Monterey for my liking, but I appreciate that it's so close to Del Monte Center with Whole Foods, movie theatre, restaurants.

There were a few minor things that made the place feel low-rent that could easily be fixed (generic key cards, they make you put a parking permit on your dash, tiny lobby, elevator interiors are beat-up and outdated).
