AA did page me and had a representative (I think his name was Brian) waiting for me to help me get to my connection. He gave me a bright red/orange tag. I still hit some barriers. I was stopped in security and my carry on was put aside to be searched. It sat and sat . I explained to the man I had to go. He said he was working alone, so I had to wait. I was ready to leave it and just run to catch the flight, but the security man said I wasn't allowed to do that. He finally called someone else to search my bag (nothing found) I did make it...barely!"

Arrived early in PHL and American would not let me move up to an earlier PHL-SFO flight since it was a code share booked with BA. Should not be my fault as when booking it indicated all four of my flights were with BA. Once booked it indicated the return flights were code share with AA. American should have allowed me on the earlier flight. That would have opened a seat on the scheduled flight which had people waiting on standby."

We boarded only to learn we would sit at the gate for 30 min and the wait on the tarmac for anothe 40. Why not just delay the flight an board an hour later? However, this year, because of my children, I found myself on this airline again and had a very positive experience. The flight was on time, luggage was transferred without a hitch, the food was excellent and in-flight entertainment had a great variety to choose from. The 747 provided a very steady flight experience. Personnel were reasonably helpful. Continue this kind of service - it will help you remain successful."

The stewardess mentioned my partner to have the chicken as there was only a portion of the meal. But, I paid £24 for the meal. Although, the vegan and veggie meals were great!"

Cons: "Non-A380 plane feels very old now and in need of an overhaul. My biggest complaint was the food. On the outbound leg (SFO-LHR) I had the pasta dish which was dry and poorly cooked so on the return flight I opted for the beef dish which was ok. I thought that the pasta was just a one-off issue. When the pre-landing meal arrived, it was so bad I had to look at the menu to see what it was (pea mousse with artichoke and almonds). It was completely inedible. Finally the amenities bag consisted of hand cream, face lotion and lip balm as well as the std toothpaste, socks, eyeshades etc. in the past there were far more items in the bag. Overall it feels like BA has cut costs and I had a reasonable deal on my flight price which I was willing to pay just to have a lie flat bed. I can't imagine if I paid $5K for this flight and had the same experience. I recently flew Emirates from SFO to Dubai in business class and it was comparable to first class in BA."

Cons: "I booked a regular flight and at the end the system or dont know how, booked me PLUS ECONOMY, when I wanted to change my ticket date, it was so expensive and almost no dates were available. Also, you didnt give me chance to downgrade in order to change the dates more easily. I always fly through BA and I love the easy it is to change dates, but this time you disappointed me. I usualy choose BA because its easy and non expensive to change dates in my flight but now I may be open to book with other airlines."

Pros: "We could tell upon boarding that the crew was focused on making our fight of 10 hours as pleasant as they could. They got along well together, which aided in providing excellent coordinated care to the passengers. Not an hour passed without being offered food, drinks, snacks, drinks, and more food. Even a time delay at take off due of a passenger leaving passport in the terminal was made up mid flight, for an ontime arrival in SFO. Would definitely look to British Airways for my next European trip."

Cons: "For the 2nd time, neither me or my husband got our food choice...it has happened everytime we have flown. And we purchased full fare business class seats! I can understand once and maybe for one of us but it has happened EVERY time. MOST IMPORTANTLY, I sadly left my laptop onboard and I called the number for SFO BA Lost and Found for 48 hours....every 20 minutes. NO ONE answered and no one returned my messages. I finally had to drive back to the airport to talk to a human....a 5 hr round trip. No laptop turned in and it didn't turn back up in London. So clearly, cleaning crew stole it. That in its own right is a problem but NO ONE returning my calls. Completely unacceptable. I got the duty manager's email and emailed him TWICE over TWO days before he returned my email. I highly doubt I will fly BA again, I'm afraid."

Therefore we waited in the airport all night because neither British airways or American Airlines would help us We waited here all night with no sleep no one would give us a hotel or a meal we have now will be getting into London 24 hours later than planned and we will be out about $1000 in hotels in two hours we had booked that were non-cancelable . The seats were comfortable, with neck support and low back pillows. The over-intercom announcements were just enough to keep passengers aware of relevant info. There were lots of entertainment choices on the tv in the back of the seat. The first meal was really good (pasta). Thank you for a great flight."

Other people were in the same boat. We had no chance to make our connection but others did. While the flight crew offered weak apologies advising they had no control, they made no effort to help connecting passengers in ways the could control. Such as asking all passengers to remain seated allowing connecting passengers off the plane first. Something I've seen done on many other airlines numerous times."
Pros: "This was my first time on an Airbus A380 and I must say that I'm still in awe of how an aircraft this large can be so quiet and smooth, let alone get in the air. Boarding was smooth. Entertainment was great and the food (depending on what you got) was okay. The inflight crew was nice and helpful."

It's even worse when you have a kid sitting in front with his seat reclined all the way back - so the little room I had to start with became even worse. Not to mention he kept rocking his chair back in forth, passed gas about 5 times, felt the need to stretch his arm behind him 3 times so his hand was blocking my screen. I really never got comfortable in my seat during the 11 hour flight. For a plane this large, i would of expected a little bit more comfort, especially when I felt it on AA 777"

Uncomfortable seats, unfriendly crew, going up and down stairs, taking buses, all with hang luggage, not a nice experience, even flying business.

They cancelled our tickets after missing the Porto to Lisbon leg. We had car troubles and called emailed and messaged. We were boarding after customs, Covid testing and baggage. We spent 6 hours at the airport just to have to buy full fare replacement tickets.

Great airline, took good care of us. Will use again if prices are good. Really enjoyed the 24 hr layover in Lisbon.

this airline is junk. first class is awful. boarding procedure was double awfully. we were standing in line for ever for priority boarding.

Cons: "I am used to traveling continents with other companies. There has always been 2 check in bags allowed with no extra charge as long as you are under 23kg on each. I get to the airport with my 2 bags ready, TAP tells me on large holidays, they only allow 1 bag to be checked to my specific African destination until January 11. And that one bag will cost me $120. They will not let me have the second one. Who does that? How much sense is this supposed to have. I checked with others and they do not do that. That rule rule is unfair and racist. Now that I am back, I have a bag missing. Wow!"
Cons: "The entertainment is very poor. The programs are not on demand and the screeen is old, small and very poor quality. The A330-200 I flew from Boston to Lisbon was excellent and had the new lie flat seats and on-demand entertainment. Big difference between the two airplanes."

Cons: "Our tickets were economy class Y for all of our flights, and we each checked a bag free on the outbound trip. But, returning we had to pay 170 euros for our 2 checked (1 each) bags. TAP (Air Portugal) in Toulouse said our outbound flights were "Basic" fares while our return flights were "Discounted" fares. Discounted fares do not include checked bags while Basic fares include 1 free checked bag. We paid $3,106.36 for the round trip for both of us, which hardly seems like a discounted fare, before paying an additional 170 euros on the return flight. I will be looking into filing a Class Action suit trying to recover all overcharges on behalf of all passengers."

Cons: "I found it very frustrating that we were told at the ticket counter the boarding would begin at 11:15am for a 12:45pm flight time. I arrived at the airport over two hrs in advance and then had to run a significant distance through the airport and sweat and be unnecessarily anxious waiting on the customs line only to arrive at the gate at 11:20am, to have my bags checked for a second time and then be unable to get any food or coffee before a flight that did not begin boarding for another 40 minutes. I did and still do not see the need for that additional luggage/security check and then being held at the gate for almost an extra hour for seemingly no reason at all."

After 4 hours of delay because the Pope was traveling to the same place we were and having to hand out all new boarding passes to confused and anxious passengers, the crew were always friendly and helpful."

I tried to watch a movie but couldn't finish because they took it away so quickly. I was in such a rush to get out of the plane I forgot a bottle of vadka I had bought in duty free."

I notice many passengers whose carry on bags were much larger than ours, seemingly contrary to El Al rules. Not fair."

So as far as ELAL say: fly 5 hours without entertainment in a very old plain with no room to the legs But at list the food is kosher - ha? Not that I care...."
