The Reef overall nicer than the Royal Towers and from what I've been told provides more amenities than The Cove. As long as its not prohibitively more expensive than Royal Towers, its well worth it.
The food is unfortunately expensive and is often just "okay." However it has progressively gotten better over the years.
Spacious rooms. Having a mini kitchen is great because food is very expensive on property so it is helpful to be able to make breakfast in the room. Gives a bit of space from the craziness of the water park on property but close enough that it is convenient to walk there. Nice, well appointed bathroom. Good sized covered terrace.
The Reef is skimping on the extra touches that a very expensive resort should have. For example, no paper was delivered to the room each morning. Also, you had to get the activities sheet for the day from the front desk where at most high end resorts, it is also put underneath your door each morning. Service was slow when there was a problem, for example, our TV kept freezing and it took two phone calls to get someone to fix it. But the worst problem is the Wi-Fi. They charge over $20 per day to use and it is not dependable. It keeps dropping off your device and you have to reconnect and the signal is weak.
The Reef at Atlantis Autograph Collection combines the comfort and conveniences of home with the amenities of a luxury residential community on beautiful Paradise Island, Bahamas. Adjacent to the other Atlantis properties, the Reef is decorated in modern, upscale island décor, and emphasizes the laid-back Bahamian culture.
The Reef offers three different styles of guestrooms: Studios, Suites, and Penthouses. Each room type is spacious and well-appointed with kitchen and living areas, as well as a balcony or terrace. Guests can choose from terrace views, Nassau Harbor views, or ocean views. Standard room amenities include 24-hour room service, a flat-screen HDTV cable/satellite television, minibars, refrigerators, and microwaves.
Included with a stay at the Reef, guests have access to all that the Atlantis resort campus offers, including 11 different swimming pool, 18 water slides, 14 lagoons showcasing 20,000 tropical fish and aquatic animals, 3 white-sand beaches, 2 river rides, unlimited access to the movie theater, casino lessons, and complimentary shuttles between the different Atlantis towers.
The dining options at Atlantis Reef abound. Atlantis offers two dining plans that guests can purchase which include breakfast and either two-course or three-course dinners each night, and guests can choose from 10 to 16 restaurants. Some of the fine dining options include celebrity chef offerings, such as Nobu, Fish by Jose Andres, and Olives by Todd English. Casual, beach, and to-go dining options are also plentiful.
With a stay at Atlantis Reef, guests also have access to the resorts full-service spa and fitness center or participate in pilates and yoga classes. For the more adventurous, snorkeling, scuba, snuba, and diving trips can be arranged, as well.
For a luxury vacation with access to a wealth of dining and recreational activities that will delight both adults and children, the Atlantis Reef resort is a perfect choice.
