City club needs a bit of facelift in rooms. Wallpaper needs to be replaced . In our room seemed like water marks on wall and ceiling were caused by leaked sprinkler.
Excellent location, walking distance to everything! Their friendly staff helped keep my luggage on check-in and check-out days. They provide complimentary fresh-baked cookies in the evening delivered to our rooms room just because! The hotel smells so wonderful, enough for me to mention it here- I really did love that! Ha!
Location close to Times Square and Broadway
Room is a little small. Heating problems during the winter cold spell were corrected-eventually.
Fantastic staff that went above and beyond to meet our needs. Turn town service was nice (cookies in the room!). The room was very small, but functional.
There was a party going on down the hall that was very loud due to the thin walls. Took 2 hours from the first threat to kick the people out at 3am.
Clean, quiet, friendly, accessible to subways and attractions.
Comfortable; not ideal for business
Super helpful staff
Rooms not really set for business -- few plugs, no coffeemaker
Only 1 window in room and it opened to a brick wall. Unable to see daylight.
Room was like staying in. Large closet.
On line it said bathrobes but there are none.
In accommodating staff
It was fine... Nothing I would say it was a 4 star. Staff was very friendly and courteous. The cookie at night was good!
Room was TINY! Barely enough room for the bed.... And it was only a full bed. Everything was old. Wallpaper was dis colored and peeling, bathroom tile had the corners that looked dirty but were just so old the tiles were worn. The bed was more of a futon than a real mattress.
Short stay in the city
Large comfortable room quiet great bathroom and shower great shutters
Perfect in a pinch!
Deluxe digs for modest dimes
nice location 10 min walk to time square
pay for parking 15 dollars , expencive
Few blocks off broadway - very clean & quiet street, discreet entrance - friendly staff - extremely clean!!! Huge bathroom & very modern design. The room has been thoughtfully designed with a couch/bookcase with overhead halogen lamps, comfortable chairs and lots of lamps---with dimmers--- to brighten the room. It also has lots of personal touches---including daily newspaper delivery and just-baked chocolate cookies delivered to your door. Well stocked room, original artwork that gives it certain charm, and very-very quiet. 2nd Floor has a computer so guests can access the web. Bear in mind that this is a "Petite Room" which is actually quite roomy for its description!!!! I highly recommend it!!!
The only thing our room needed, was a narrow bench to put luggage by the door. There is certainly a space for it. otherwise, it an excellent place for the value!!!
Poor breakfast, weak internet, really too slowly
i did not enjoy anything about my stay at city club
if you like old, dirty and cramped you love this place
location, nice bed and nice bathroom
Room was not so big and air conditioning was really noisy
The staff were very friendly, helpful and informative! Not one rude moment! ... Surprising compared to my last experience in ny. If necessary, there is a room to leave your bags while sightseeing after check out. We were able to check in early. Room was spotless. Lovely modern decor. Great ac. Comfy beds. Day bed/couch supplied in room was used for a 5th person. Didn't need to rent extra cot.
My only problem was the room size. It was a bit on the small side for 4 or 5 people at the price we paid. However, this is to be expected for New York. Especially somewhere so central. Its worth the extra money for the location, and the experience of being in central New York. All the pros outweigh this small con. You dont go to New York to stay in your hotel room!
Well located, nice hotel spacious rooms
excellent and convenient location, excellent service, clean and "design rooms"
it's true that the rooms are quite dark too dark; caution, they charge 1$ for each toll free calls!!!
We were upgraded which was a great surprise. Staff was helpful, warm and friendly. Great location
Some street noise but not too bad.
