It was a unique hotel/room in a great location. I enjoyed the novelty of the decor. The room also had a fridge and stovetop, so that's a nice option.
The amenities weren't great- towels were small, there was no soap in my room, and the mattress wasn't anything special.
Staff + style - great........but cold room!!
Decor was fantastic and so was the location right by 3major subway lines. Staff were lovely, very helpful. Financially it is a shrewd choice, great value. Would defo choose it again.
Room was very cold due to draft from door to balcony (which you would partly except as it was early December!!!) but the fan assisted heater just couldn't take the edge off icy chill unfortunately. Never could warm the room up fully or make cosy, the missus never stopped moaning!!
The location was great and staff was super friendly. Tons of space in the rooms, too!
The idea and vibe they were trying to create was cool, but the execution was lacking the details to truly make it something great & memorable. Peeling wallpaper, shelves that hadn't been dusted, and lax finishing (sloping floor, sloppy caulk, price tags left on soap dispensers) kind of took away from the luxury vibe. Also, the "free coffe & tea" area is a joke.
Other guests were extremely loud at all hours of the day and night.
Dirty, loud and over priced
Hairs in the bed that were not mine , barely slept due to paper thin windows and walls so every movement and word of the neighbors seemed like it was inside the room, and right above a shallow subway stop so literally the whole hotel rumbled and shook like an earthquake every time it went by . Rooms look chic but furnishings are junky and bath products watered down and low quality . Gross lobby , dirty like the rooms .
