Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything! Rooms were beautiful and clean, food amazing, staff were brilliant. Lovely big garden and carpark.
Cons: Nothing that can be helped but it is on a main road (set back) so we had some traffic noise because the weekend we stayed it was really hot (there is a fan in the room) and we had the window open.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: All absolutely fine , would have been nice to maybe have a chair in the room as there isn’t anywhere like a lounge to relax. Otherwise perfect staff very friendly.
Cons: Road a little noisy but there’s nothing they could do about that . As the weather was very hot we needed to have the windows open.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Although we booked the room with the bath, we were given a different room, which had a shower. As it was still a lovely room, we accepted it as an alternative Comfy bed, lovely towels, decent size TV all made for a Great night. We ate in the restaurant, which was also excellent..the two duty managers really work hard to make everything perfect. Would definitely recommend
Cons: The hotel part is quite quirky with narrow hallways and odd steps but these are quite dark, which is fine when going to the room (we were in room.5) as the hallway lights up but when leaving the room the sensors don't pick up so you're guessing where the steps are which could be quite dangerous. Also, just as a small point, the shelf over the sink is in the way when trying to brush teeth, not an ideal place for it.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very clean & modern room. All the staff very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Wonderful food in the restaurant and excellent breakfast.
Cons: Located on busy road and due to very hot weather needed windows open, so a little noisy but didn’t stop us sleeping.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Food was great. Staff super friendly. Beer cold
Cons: It was just a little hot at night. Not the fault of the hotel. Just super summer weather
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location was perfect for us. Hotel was lovely and room First-class, the food was wonderful first t-bone I've had in years and it was just perfect and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after. Will definitely be back thank you Jim and liz.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Nice bedroom comfy big bed. Traditional pub. Pleasant staff
Cons: Only a little moan about dusty skirting boards in bedroom otherwise all good
Excellent 10.0
Pros: the set up food friendliness everything really
Cons: nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great venue and incredible staff
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Me and my partner both loved everything about this place. Facilities, the staff, the food all excellent
Cons: There was nothing we did not

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Quiet location and lovely setting Room was very clean and comfortable
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Amazing room!!! Quiet location away from town with a SUPERB ensuite bath! The house and gardens were extremely beautiful and relaxing. I will definitely come back I ever get the chance.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We were travelling as a group of 6 on 3 motorcycles. Parking was great and very secure. Restaurants just on the doorstep all in all great value for money.
Cons: Nothing all was good. Bathrooms on the hallway which was better for us. Maybe not foe all
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely property, with its own slice or two of history. Very restful and comfortable stay.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Fantastic spacious, bright and airy room and large en-suite bathroom. Beautiful gardens. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. It’s a hidden gem.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Big comfortable bed. Great location for exploring the Tyne Valley. Good price.
Cons: The back room in the main building is a good size but you do hear the morning rush hour traffic, which isn't the case in the annexe rooms which face the back garden. The step up/down to the bathroom caught me out a couple of times. Maybe a warning notice might have prevented that!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: David the host was very nice, gave us information and some tips about local eateries but was not intrusive. We knew when we booked there was no food on offer (due to covid we assume). Breakfast would have been nice and we would have rated the grinny face it it had been, but as I say we know this before. Very quiet location, close to the Metro centre but it was in a rural setting and tucked away, just as advertised. Very good sized room, separate but sole use bathroom, again know that when we booked. Really well maintained and clean bedroom and bathroom, one of the best I have stayed in. Beds super comfortable. Very good value for money and I would recommend it to anyone. Big thank you to David the host.
Cons: Breakfast dinner available would have been nice, but we know it was not on offer and understand why.
Good 7.0
Pros: Lovely period property, location great to explore Northumberland and the surrounding area. Secure parking for bikes & cars with gated drive.
Cons: Sadly didn’t experience a breakfast during our stay with COVID restrictions. It was a run out to a Greg’s to get a breakfast.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: A really well run and presented guesthouse. The proprietor ( Maxine) was very welcoming and prepared a lovely breakfast the following morning. My room was very well presented, scrupulously clean and had complimentary tea and coffee provided. There are plenty of places nearby in Jesmond for food and drink but some of them can be a bit expensive.
Cons: Nothing really.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: My husband was in the Freeman Hospital and I needed somewhere local to stay. The Adelphi was within walking distance of the hospital (via Jesmond Dene) in a quiet location down a lovely road. Maxine gave me a parking permit which meant that there was no trouble leaving the car, even after I had checked out. There was a good choice of breakfast from 8 - 9am. The Adelphi was immaculate. I felt very comfortable at what could have been a difficult time, and would certainly stay there again should the need arise.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great breakfast served with courteous care. Quiet and cosy stay.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Our daughter is hoping to get into university in Newcastle. This b&b will be our first port of call to book when visiting. Was made to feel welcome and the room was lovely. Thank you
Cons: N/A
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent service room very clean and comfortable Breakfast was Substantial and top quality
Cons: Nothing to dislike

Good 7.0
Pros: Reception staff good, room good and setting lovely.
Cons: Waiting on staff all seemed young and inexperienced. Kept an inordinate amount of time waiting for 2 x latte coffees which we gave up on.
Good 6.0
Pros: The building
Cons: No room service menu, no gluten free/vegan /lactose room service. Room was far too hot the fan that was there was only circulating hot air very unpleasant sleep
Excellent 10.0
Pros: .location
Good 6.0
Pros: The room was comfortable, smart and attractive and the setting is very peaceful (although there was a noisy wedding one night)
Cons: Two of our towels were dirty, the breakfast took over 30 minutes to arrive (although to be fair they didn't charge us as a consequence) and there was a wedding at the hotel with loud music going past midnight on a Sunday night (which we weren't informed about before arrival). Most of the staff were not particularly helpful or friendly. All that said, the hotel was actually very nice - but for the price, I did expect better.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Grounds/terrace for cocktails
Cons: Our evening meal was good (The best chocolate torte ever) however my starter (fishcake) was a little dry as was my duck.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The Covid protection in place made you feel safe. Our first couple of days we stayed in the new extension which was bright and modern. We extended our stay by 1 night and stayed in the old building, for us we preferred this. Would highly recommend eating at the restaurant, we had a wonderful meal on our first night. The breakfast each morning were delicious. The location next to Jesmond Dene was an added bonus being able to go for walks in the park from your doorstep. Also the house is only a 20 mins drive from the coast and 10min from town. Great location, highly recommended.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Room and it's facilities good. Food was excellent and service to match. Overall ambiance was good. Allowed me to charge my EV by providing an extension and location to charge. Great location to walk the parks. There was a wedding going on during our stay but this in no way affected the standard of service we received.
Poor 1.0
Pros: The idyllic setting… everything else was so incredibly poor.
Cons: Being put in a disabled suite without any prior knowledge that this would be where we were staying. Everything sort of suitable for a wheelchair user, but not for 2 able bodied guests. Attitude of staff appalling. Left car park with key scratches all the way down the side of our Jaguar F Pace - a coincidence, I think not! Will never, ever return.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Just love how it’s next to the airport and staff were friendly
Cons: Nothing , it’s all goood
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent very happy
Cons: Excellent location
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: Breakfast was disappointing Dry hard and greasy bacon Egg was rudder
Cons: The bed was hard uncomfortable and springs popped every time I moved and where proud Nosey outside or a loud tv on during the night outside Sanitizer dispensers were empty Wipes were empty outside the lifts For a hotel Directly next to an airport I’d have expected more whilst Covid is still present
Okay 5.0
Pros: The location is great for the airport and the staff are lovely.
Cons: However, the room I was in was so dark and oppressive it felt claustrophobic. The worst thing though, and I’ve made this comment several times in the past, is that the rooms are always too warm and stuffy. The air con is useless, and windows to open. Also the pillows are dreadful. Overall I find the rooms uncomfortable but the location to the airport is the reason I stay.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Largely professional attitude, good room, good dinner, prompt breakfast.
Cons: Checking in staff member not friendly.
Good 6.0
Pros: I missed the cookies
Cons: Miss cookies and me and my partner spent a lot of money there last year we stayed there at least four nights a week we would extend we would eat in the hotel those four nights and I feel we got treat Like not welcome when we were regular customers and like I said I had phoned up twice and I was even on hold for eight minutes at one time the guy on the desk said he didn’t know if they took cash. But he does know he definitely knows the rules but he said that the guy hung up on him before he could get the answer which I just do not believe. Like I say didn’t feel very welcome apart from the girl on the desk the next day I think I might of been Clair she is lovely I extended with her the next day and she has always made us feel welcome
Excellent 10.0
Good 7.4
Pros: Very close to the airport
Cons: That my 05:15 wake up call was actually made at 03:15!

ROOM WAS VERY WELL AIRED, VERY CLEAN, SPACIOUS, THE BEDS WERE VERY COMFORTABLE, EVERY FACILITY WAS WORKING WHICH IS A FIRST, EXCELLENT, THE STAFF WERE ALL EXCELLENT NOTHING WAS ANY TROUBLE AT ALL. REALLY COMFOTABLE AND RELAXING. BEAUTIFUL GYM AND POOL WE DIDNT USE THEM BUT HAD A LOOK ALL VERY CLEAN.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Conveniently located, this small hotel is more than adequate for a short stay close to the city center. It is 10 minutes walk to the metro and seven minutes to Newcastle Central Station. What makes this place special are the people. Everyone is incredibly friendly, helpful, and really genuinely nice people. Can’t fault it and outstanding value for money
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.0
Pros: THE ROOM WAS VERY COMFORTABEL AND THE BED JUST FINE. BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT !
Cons: NO PROBLEMS AT ALL !
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great location and friendly accommodating staff.
Cons: I was lucky as I was able to park and there was street parking locally. I guess that would be my only concern if the roads had been busier but not a problem for me.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Room was very good, breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. All in all I was completely happy and satisfied with my stay and when I come back to Newcastle I will stay with again.
Cons: Breakfast could have been served until 9-30 or 10-00
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely welcome on arrival and the room was comfy clean and spacious and also had a bath rather than just a shower so that was a bonus! You chose a half hour breakfast slot and the food was good . You even had option of a takeaway breakfast for very early risers.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Brilliant staff - so really friendly and accommodating
Cons: Osborne Road is very noisy but I knew it would be - ear plugs necessary
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very friendly and accommodating staff. Kindly allowed us to store our bicycles inside. Delicious breakfast.
Cons: Beds are a little firm, but didn’t bother us!

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Review is actually for the sister hotel The Grey Street Hotel as the original New Northumbria wasn't ready to open for the dates we wanted. Hotel emailed to give us the option to change dates or refund or switch to the alternative hotel which was great. Obviously everything still quite quiet but had a lovely break and would stay there again.
Cons: Nothing!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Super comfy place, loved it
Cons: Showers werent so great
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was brilliant
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The rooms were lovely with good sized bed
Cons: Very noisy but that's just the nature of the area!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very comfortable beds and pillows. Reception rang up within ten minutes of being in the room to check everything was acceptable. Good range of products in the bathroom including manicure set and sewing kit. Good sized room with two tables and tub chairs. Good location not far from West Jesmond metro station
Cons: There was nothing by which we could fault the hotel, but we really only where in the premises to sleep and then away early in the morning. We also didn't have the breakfast so can't comment

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff was amazing and very friendly, rooms where brilliant for the amount you pay.
Poor 1.0
Pros: The bathroom was really nice
Cons: The room was very warm and extremely uncomfortable. There was banging from very early which prevented me from sleeping. One of the worst hotel stays I had in a very long time.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great value and great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room very clean with a comfy bed. Breakfast was minimal for cv19 but heh it was fine.
Cons: The coffee at breakfast is a bit poor. Some nice fresh real coffee would make a huge difference
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Would have preferred a cooked breakfast but buffet breakfast was adequate
Cons: All fine
Good 6.0
Pros: The room was clean and tidy no issues
Cons: The room didn’t have air con ,was so hot we couldn’t sleep at night -staff did provide us with a fan
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The location
Cons: We were rebooked into another hotel. Review is for The Best Western Kent in Jesmond. We got little notification. The receptionist called but did not mention the reason why on voicemail. We called back and had to wait 5 hours to get an answer where we would be staying. Breakfast room was cold and unwelcoming.
Okay 4.0
Pros: room size was good, location was good, room was clean
Cons: staff was supposed to email copy of the receipt not done, the hotel I stayed at was not OYO DENE it was the best Western Osborne Road which smelled a little stale and was quite off putting. Never been told that if breakfast is provided in the price that only continental was paid for. I would have paid the extra had I been aware but I have never been in that situation before.

Good 7.0
Pros: Staff were so helpful and friendly.
Cons: The lift being out of use was extremely unhelpful due to my medical condition and our room being on first floor. Breakfast was very limited for kids. They didn’t have just toast. It only came with cooked breakfasts
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Was very pleased everything met our expectations
Cons: Unfortunately the parking situation is dire.We parked quite easily when we checked in but we went out early evening on returning there was absolutely nowhere to park we had to drive around looking for a parking spot.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Nice pleasent staff, very clean quiet room, nice bar with outside seating, lots of staff on however mostly stood around talking to each other and not tending to customers, drinks pricey £5-25 for larger
Cons: Cooked breakfast was poor value £12-95 obviously been sitting on the plate for a while, burnt mushrooms, hash brown greasy, beans mushy, sausage poor quality.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The room nice and clean. Plenty hot drinks to make it. A small bottles of shampoo, body lotion and shower gel - lovely and really great ones! Hair dryer left on the draw - it's good idea, iron with ironing table in the wardrobe, which is really awesome. Extra duvet. At some places you actually need to go and ask to get it. Here - everything toon care of. Amazing. Staff was friendly and polite. Service great. All experience I've got was brilliant. It met my all expectations. Great price as well. Thank you ❤️
Cons: I had nothing to cross my mind that I didn't like. Everything meet my expectations. I would come back for sure.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff were great
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Staff were exceptional-very helpful and caring. The room was beautiful and clean. Great stay!
Cons: Parking at the property isn’t ideal - very narrow and limited spaces.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location was ideal for us, as it was close to both the city centre and parkland. And the breakfast certainly set us up for the day!

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Excellent staff attention. My husband is disabled & the staff went the extra mile to assist both with an adaptation in the bathroom and help in the restaurant (see below). Good that the restaurant was opened to give extra space allowing for the racegoers and the two parties.
Cons: The location of the disabled toilet is on the lower ground floor & away from the bar & restaurant which meant a bit of a trek for my husband on a zimmer frame. Sadly, due to the large number of guests the restaurant only served a buffet breakfast which had long queues. Thankfully the staff helped us and brought everything we needed to the table. The wheelchair ramp is rather steep and would have been difficult to negotiate.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Fantastic value for money
Good 7.0
Pros: Price reasonable.
Cons: Good, affordable stay for 2 nights.
Good 7.0
Pros: Handy for airport, nice snack menu in bar
Cons: Bed and pillow hard
Mediocre 2.0
Cons: Room stank of onions
Good 6.5
Pros: The location is very convenient - right next to the airport. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was ok with the hotel considering the price was reasonable.
Cons: The hotel looks dated, and feels dated. It was a little dirty in places, including very off-putting places like the bathroom. The shower was simply dangerous-both my wife and I nearly hit the ground trying to get out of the shower, and I managed to cut my foot on a mysterious pipe sticking out of the tub.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: no break fast served at this location
Cons: nothing
Excellent 10.0
Cons: Excellent good location
Mediocre 3.8
Pros: Location
Cons: No words can sum up how bad it really is. Holes in wall stale smell from pipes/drains decor decidedly needing refreshed. The doors to rooms had obviously been broken into several times which meant locking them was very difficult. Shared toilet if you dare first take a mask second suit up armed with heavy duty cleaner to wash off the human faceases before entering. We tried to explained n our disbelief with the front desk but we were unable to get a refund due to it being booked direct with booking .com
