No shuttle from the airport. No response to question about a shuttle. Charged my credit card even though they advertise no charge for canceling. I canceled, they still charged me and refused to refund.
I reserve a 2 bed room and the hotel just give me 1 bed room
bad attitude from the front desk (night) Bathrooms were filthy and bed sheets were full of holes.
Before we even got there the women at the front desk over the phone was extremely rude and not helpful. Felt like such a bother to Her for asking a simple question. There was a condom wrapper on the floor in the room when we got there!! The door wouldn't shut all the way. The women the next day on the front desk also extremely rude and we felt very unwelcomed.
This was their first booking using Activehotels website. They did not have the reservation on their system. The receptionist booked us in using my travel info. She is English of Irish extraction and tops for helpfulness and professionalism. I'm not sure if the typical yankee you find in hotels would have resolved this issue so quickly. An issue for Active to address but the first I have encountered using Active.
The staff were nice to deal with but the motel could use some upgrades. The motel was convenient to the things we wanted to do as long as you have a car.
Could use some upgrades of their equipment.
The price was good for the money and the lobby was nice for a budget motel
The room was pretty small and the bed was also very small. The area was not very nice but that didn't bother us much, but if you're from the burb's, you might be quite dissatisfied. At least the parking lot (very small) was well lit and clean. They forgot to supply bath towels and washcloths in our room which was quickly rectified and we thought the hair dryer didn't work, but turned out it was the outlet, which we figured out after they quickly brought us another hair dryer.
I believe the sheets were not changed for arrival date. Next day we removed the sheets and pillow cases and was appalled at the sight of the blood drool stain ( about 11 inches in diameter on ones side and stains of another nature on the opposite side. Toilet tissue not refilled. No clean plastic bag in the ice bucket. No plastic bags in the waste buckets. Cleaning person forgot to give "any" towels or mats" for two people. Doors were slamming during the night. Opinion- drug users. On arrival there were two bulbs missing. No radio/alarm clock. No closet and there were numerous missing hangers. The top dresser draw was stuck. Otherwise, it was a place to sleep and go to Business Meeting. Desk Personnel were superb.
Really nice staff, we came very early but had to check in anyway. easy to take a bus to Sea World and Disney World for $ 2!
State's not the best if you want to stay at Hotelet and cuddle ...
The only thing good about this hotel was the front desk staff. When the young lady at the reception desk learned that we were uncomfortable staying in such a bad area of town, she offered to cancel the remainder of our stay with no penalties. And once we got into the room and realized how bad it was, we took her up on their offer and moved to a much nicer, safer hotel.
The hotel is in a terrible area, which we realized as we drove by many strip clubs and grungy bars to get to it. The room was smelly and very shabby. Everything in the room was old and run down, even though we were told we were in a "renovated" room. Turns out that part of the awful smell was urine on the floor beside the head of the bed. There was black stuff on the walls and the light switches were so dirty and grungy that they were brown! The air conditioner was very noisy and didn't work properly, but when it wasn't on, the traffic noise was even worse. As a woman travelling with two girls, we were scared for our safety and for our health, so we checked out at 4am the following morning.
my vacation at this resort is the most horrible
everything rooms were not clean smelled really bad and it was clean since i came in there wasn't worth my money at all
Not a lot - it was filthy dirty and very noisy.
