Very Slow (almost 30 minutes), very non-professional, asked for the same info several times (most of which had already been provided online as part of the reservation!), acted like they knew the system' but obviously had some competency issues, when everything seemed to be finally accomplished then we're told the car we ordered wasn't available, never explained how to handle toll fees (fortunately the person at the exit gate provided the info). I'm 73 and did not want to drive in Orlando traffic. My 41 year old son was going to do all the driving, but I had agreed to pay. Seems simple, but I had to be the driver (even though I wasn't going to drive) and add my son as an additional driver for an extra $60. Overall no need to pay extra for Hertz service/reputation, choose a less expense vendor, the service couldn't have been worse!

I think Hertz is the best rental car company around. They made it extra easy on the drop off and we just had to leave our keys in the car. I got a receipt sent to my email about an hour later. The car was neat, and better than the one that I reserved. Go Hertz!

I rented my car to drive from Orlando to Phoenix. I made it to Northern Florida on a Sunday was I unavoidably hit a piece of metal that fell off of a truck in front of me. This caused the tire to pop and the rim to bend. No tire repair places nearby could assist. They were closing or needed to order a part. I called Hertz for assistance and got loops around 4 time. I ended up on hold for a total of almost six hours, and finally gave up. I was drained. I lost too much time and did not know what kind of delay I was looking at. So I had to turn around, drive 50 mph for four hours back home ona donut. The nearest Hertz that was open was in my hometown at the airport in Orlando. I was completely forced to change my relocation plans, and ended up purchasing a flight to make it on time for my new job. Now all my belongings remain in Florida, and I'll have to find a way to get it all here. I spent around $1200 with Hertz, and got nothing out of it. I got none of my money back for returning the car early, and in fact, got charged for the damage to rim. Thank goodness I was smart and purchased insurance so at least the tire and rim will be covered.

The rental was fine except you could tell that the car had been smoked in. It had that stink to it. It was unpleasant and reminded me of a stinky hotel room. I don't travel or rent cars that often, but it was my second car rental this year. My previous rental was from Thrifty. That car was very clean and didn't have any odors. I was disappointed a bit with my first Hertz rental, as I thought Hertz was a higher-level car rental company than Thrifty, and I expected the car to be at least as nice or better than the Thrifty car. I was wrong in my expectations.

You’re site allowed car rental bookings, when there were no actual cars available. And at the same profited from non refundable collision damage policies. This is fraud, racketeering, and violation of the “Rico Act”. I am going to register a complaint with the BBB, and attorney generals office.

I needed to rent a cargo van to transport a large oil painting while in Florida for my step-mother's memorial service. The airport would not get me one, only the 8-seater, and the pick-up trucks had too short of a bed, etc. I had to take a cab(Lyft) to this car dealership, SunState Ford), in northern Orlando, where they had cargo vans. Carlos, the Hertz manager there, was fabulous! The whole experience was smooth, relaxed, he looked-out for me with a value perk discount on the damage insurance, and I was very happy with the experience!
