Pros: Nothing, rental did not succeed due to errors/failures at rental desk
Cons: Confirmed pickup time was 11pm. I booked a convertible for special occasion and surprise. So I took my wife via Uber from another hotel where we stayed. (20$). When we arrived at the desk at 11pm, we had to wait ~30 minutes since the sole employee (trainee) was struggling to help the 1 customer in front of us. 11:30 he walked away from the desk with the other people without letting us know what was going on. After 5 minutes I called the phone number mentioned at the desk for when nobody was there. The person at that number was oblivious what was going on and his only advise was to wait. Few minutes later the trainer arrived back. Then the ‘gun’ really started. Turned out that the convertible was not there at all... delivery time at minimal 1 hour as of that moment. No other option than to take another car or wait at minimum 1 hour more. After stating that I would take a small car instead but then obviously to a lower rate, he indicated he could not do that; ‘have to speak to manager’. His manager was put on the phone with me and promised me to give the along going rate with the smaller car and a discount for the inconvenience. He also promised the trainee to be there in 5 minutes ‘more or less’. That turned out to be more I guess because the next 20 he did not show up at least. So the trainee started to do the paperwork and then it turned out that he was about to charge me even more than for the convertible...! That kind of made me upset. I asked him to get his manager back on the phone but the trainee indicated that his manager hung up on him before. At that time I conclude that this was not leading anywhere and to look for another way to surprise my wife for our special occasion. Her ~1.5 hour wait in the lobby of a strange hotel was then at least done. All by all, bad-bad performance by Avis. Trainee all alone at a desk not knowing what to do. Manager lying and not backing up his employee. Customer experience worked ever. Formal complaint to Avis will be filed.
Pros: The ONE staff person working was kind and patient. I know he was taking the brunt of everyone’s frustrations.
Cons: We waited in line, at MCO (Orlando International) from the time our plane landed, at midnight, and finally left with a rental at 4:30am. We had a reservation. There was a long queued line, many people with younger travelers. My heart broke over and over for them and their families. At least our family was adults and older teens.
Pros: Drop iff easy.
Cons: Would have been helpful to be able to drop the car if for a minimal charge intead of a whole day rentall Felt the daily price was high considering the deals that I have previously seen offered.
Pros: The agent at Orlando was awesome. She had a great personality, funny, and knowledgeable. Getting to the car and having it ready was quick and also drop off was a breeze.
Cons: The line waiting to get the rental was a long wait.

Pros: Pickup staff was great. Drop off, not so much. The airport drop off is also hard to find, so I incurred extra late fee even though I was lost in the airport for nearly 30 min
Cons: Even though, I turned in the car late after being lost, I didn't appreciate being rushed to hand over the car. I was paying the extra fee after all.
Cons: My car size was unavailable after I already was in a car. The Avis app did not work in real time. When I waited online and in a long physical they found me another car, the car had water spots so bad you could t even see out of the side mirrors or rear window!!! When dropping off there was not enough attendants to do a walk thru with me. I had to make my flight, so just left the car running. Hopefully they get better staffed soon.
Pros: Car was brand new, easy to drop off
Cons: Didn’t realize that the rental was not at the airport but at an offsite location. Waited in line for over an hour at the airport before being told that I would have to find my own transportation to the other location. Was forced to take a rental from the airport at a much higher rate than what Kayak quoted.
Pros: We traveled 9 people and we booked 15 passengers. When we arrived at the Avis counter at the Orlando airport they told us that they did not have it, that they had given it to someone else, and this made our vacation a nightmare, we were forced to take A smaller car, I do not recommend that anyone rent a car in Avis Orlando Florida Airport they are irresponsible !!!

Pros: Cx-5 is a nice car. Upgraded bc they didn’t have my model.
Cons: Pick up process is atrocious. Poor signage. Way understaffed. The people were fine. There just were not enough to handle the paperwork load. Very slow service just to get the keys. Change process on the phone is difficult
Cons: The experience was not very good, the vehicle was not completely clean at the time of the pick up, it had a bad smell inside. In reference to the price for having exceeded the delivery time by 7 hours they charged me an additional day, I do not agree with this collection policy
