nice staff, central location in an old town, many bars and restaurants nearby, walking distance to main historic attractions

The room was basic, practical and very clean and comfortable
I was asked for passport and expected to leave it at Reception without any knowledge of when it would be returned as hotel manager, I didn't speak Italian, hotel manager no English, frustrating.. Breakfast was very paltry, tea awful (powdered I think); warmed up fresh pastry, nice but no alternative, but acceptable.Thank you
