All was good. New car, very good service both at Pick-up and return. Only problem was that the card POS machines thatHertz (who administers Dollar) uses, do not "read" some USA cards when inserted. Happy y(In our case a Mastercard). And according to Hertz / Dollrk Ku their procedures they cannot swipe it nor use the touchless feature. We had to use another credit card

The staff was very disagreeable and pushy to inflate the cost of the rental. Very little information given about the insurance and scary tactics used to push for the maximum coverage that costs even higher than the rental itself. The lady even refused to give any details about the coverage offered by the Visa Card when you pay with it. The drop off was also incombassent the agent was kind of carrying a police investigation. It didn’t really look like Budget

Very slow pick up process. No one went to check the car with me. I was asked to sign contract in the office without seeing the car. Contract stated that there were no scratches, but when I approached the car I found many scratches that were not reflected in the contract. I was not allowed to return the car just by dropping the keys in the box. Return took almost an hour because of a long line and only one staff available for the review of the cars. I had a hard time explaining and providing proof with photos that I did not do any of the scratches that were present on the car.

I’m still waiting for confirmation of my car drop off which was same day as the pick up. I was told the extra day I didn’t need the car will be adjusted instead my total came out to double what I booked for, language barrier made almost impossible to communicate with HR my cost almost doubled for the rental will have to contact customer service once I’ll get back. When contacting budget I was told they can’t help I should talk to kayak.

Refused to provide car, despite reservation, since we didn’t have international drivers permit, which is not required by law in Italy, but still charged our credit card for the full rental.There was a very long line of tourists at the counter experiencing the same issues.

Just a note for other travellers, there is no petrol station in the Airport. The nearest one is 10 km so fill the tank before you arrive. Luckily we had plenty of time :)
