I like the person who Assisted me when I got to the location. she’s really helpful and handles everything with professionalism but What I didn’t like is they gave me a faulty car. The signal lights are not working by the time I notice and tried to bring back and exchange the car the office is already close. So I had no choice but to use that car. I almost got into couple of accidents because of that.

They did not have a car for me when I tried to pick it up. They had a sign say "Cleaning cars be back soon." But never came back. 0/10

No traveler should arrive at 11 pm (or any time for that matter) and find around 30 people in line with ONE person working. The sign also was not clear as it appeared the line was only for Avis customers. The sole person was at the Avis counter and no one was at the Budget counter. There was a sign that said "Fastmark" or something Budget customers go upstairs. Since no one was at the Budget counter, I went upstairs. After waiting in line there,the lady told me I have to go back downstairs to the merged Avis / Budget line. Of course, there were more people waiting in line by then. I waited a bit pissed off and saw other car rental companies with one to five people in line. So I went over to Enterprise and got a car without a reservation. Meanwhile, after getting my papers, I looked back at the combined Avis /Budget line and felt sorry for those people who were still in line. I was probably in my room 20 minutes from the airport before some of those people at the Avis / Budget line even got to the counter. It is inexcusable for a company to have ONE person working a counter when they know flights are coming in with reservations. Now, I have to deal with getting my money back from Budget........

Budget staffed the counter at CLT with one employee, occasionally two. There were at least 30 people in line, some with car reservations, resulting in wait times over 40minutes to pick up cars. Some customers were in line for well over an hour. The counter agent gave information on under 25 year old drivers which contradicted information readily available on Budget’s website, & made our trip much more tiring. If we hadn’t been waiting for 45minutes to pick up the car we’d reserved, and if the line to pick up cars hadn’t extended out of the corral & past other rental counters, we’d have discussed the discrepancy with the counter agent. The vehicle we were assigned was very dirty (the windshield was especially filthy), cigarette burn holes decorated all the upholstery, there was known damage of which we were not informed, the routine maintenance required indicator accompanied us for the entirety of the trip - and the car *reeked* of cigarette smoke. The funk that roiled out of the vents every time the car was turned on (immediate recirculing air is an undesirable feature of the model) was disgusting. Admittedly, it wasn’t vile enough to send us back to the counter-where-time-stood-still. We drove with the windows down whenever possible, if not prudent. Budget charged over $1,000 for the privilege of renting the rolling ashtray for 5days. While it’s not standard practice to speculate about Budget’s allocation of the fees, for this experience, at least, it’s painfully obvious the money’s not being put toward staffing, employee training, maintenance, cleaning, or quality control.

I literally spent all day on the phone with agents after booking a car that WAS NOT AVAILABLE. It is unacceptable have cars listed online and the local locations DO NOT have inventory available. After spending countless hours driving around to attempt to fulfill my reservation, it was CANCELED and I was still charged $50 to my credit card. I then needed to dispute this charge with my credit card company. SUCH A HASSEL!Honesty about inventory. Online sales should reflect what is in fact available on site.

The employees were so nice and got us into our car quickly. We got the exact car we reserved, and it was very clean. Super easy to work with!
