The staff was very nice and friendly , the location was perfect !
Rooms are extremely small .
Close to metro and buses. Good price.
Not clean, staff not very helpful.
I was l looking for a small place to spend only short nights, not expensive, easy reachable by car and parking facilities with public transport nearby and I found all these criteria fulfilled
street noise starts early in the morning
They had rooms with twin beds, and in a safe nice area in Paris. Boulangerie, drug store, mini supermarket, carrefour supermarket, bus and metro station all within 100 meters. Bus line 38 takes you to Gare du Nord, bus line 68 takes you to the Louvre
It is a bit too far away from main attractions, last stop of metro line. But I booked at the last moment, and was the best I could find given that my priorities are safety, cleanliness, shower and toilette in the room, 2 twin beds.
The area was really nice particularly given that the 14th is not the most attractive of destinations in Paris. I found a wonderfully Parisian market street near by called Rue Daguerre, which was full of interesting places to eat, as well as a reasonable shopping are round the corner from the hotel. The room was bright, quite, clean and pleasant. The bed was good although the pillows could definitely be improved. The manager of the hotel was particularly nice.
It was terribly annoying that although the room description included a hair dryer, what was available was an antique from the late 70s. The manager later confirmed that those hair dryers had been installed 18 years ago when the hotel first opened. Maybe a nice historical feature but terribly annoying when you are getting ready for a work meeting or to enjoy a night out with friends and your hair looks simply dreadful. If you decide to go to this hotel and need the use of a hair dryer, make sure you make your own provision.
