The hotel is easy to find because it is directly on the main road. The parking place is in front of the hotel.
No good food menu and no other restaurants in that location. Only another hotel in 2 min walk offers excellent food. The hotel seems to have a low budget to renovate the rooms, they are very simple equipped, no relaxing atmosphere. The bathrooms are clean but the remains are very poor equipped. Furthermore the breakfast is not good and it takes too long to get the food, even for the tee and toast it takes 10 min and the toast is black! It seems, that food is offered and delivered from somewhere, e.g. porrige was poor in tast and nearly cold. The waiter didn't understand much English, not even the simpliest language. He seemed to be overstrained with his job. The pictures posted on the website does not correspond the reality!
price was excellent. Food was good and catering staff were pleasant and helpful
No internet use. Weather was rainy and windy which was heard in the room hitting off the window. Although food is of good quality it is served very quick, giving you no time to enjoy it or relax after your previous course,
The entertainment in the evening. The food was very good and the staff were friendly.
the reception and the dining room didn't seem to communicate. reception told us not to book an evening meal, just to go when we were ready, when we arrived at the dining room it seemed to be a problem for them (didn't like the feeling that we had got it wrong) but didn't take long for them to seat and serve us.
Clean, welcoming, friendly and pleasant staff, great breakfasts, lovely room
Breath taking view what ever the directions you look
Staff or reception should know more about places of interest & their city to inform the tourist, specially where the best scottish foods & folkre dances etc.. taking place
Hotel room with view of the water
No one at the front desk at early morning checkout - front door bolted shut.
Friendly welcome
Poor attention to room servicing, e.g. flat batteries in TV remote control, bathroom fan not working, paint peeling off window frame, cobwebs on window frame.
dinner
no phone, no hairdryer in room, cramped bathroom very basic. not good for the price i paid.
The food, the location.
The accommodation
It was a good location
Very poor evening meal, the hotel appeared to be short on staff.
Dunollie Hotel is situated next to Broadford Bay on the Isle of Skye in the United Kingdom. It’s backed by the mountains and offers an on-site restaurant and bar, as well as rooms that are dog-friendly and full of amenities. The area around the hotel property is steeped in history and has a lot for guests to explore.
Dunollie Hotel has 84 rooms on offer. They range from singles for just one traveler up to family rooms that sleep up to four people. Some rooms can be booked with sea views over the bay. While the area is known for its rich history, the in-room amenities are nice and modern. There are coffee makers, flatscreen TVs, phones, and free WiFi. The décor is updated but with a touch of the traditional Old World style still in tact.
There is a restaurant housed within the Dunollie Hotel. The Torridon View Restaurant serves traditional Scottish fare made from locally sourced ingredients. There are many dishes made from items plucked straight out of the water. The hotel also has an impressive wine list to go along with the items on the menu. Another option for dining is the Redhills Lounge, also found on the property. This is a more casual establishment where guests will find lighter meals and snacks.
The Isle of Skye where the hotel is located has a lot to see and do. Guests can head to Torabhaig Distillery to sample some local Scottish Whisky. The Skye Bridge is another close attraction. Skye Serpentarium is only 12 minutes away on foot. There’s also Armadale Castle that travelers may want to visit.
