The great view from our room 244 with balconies on two sides and the space in the room and bathroom.
We had trouble with the toilet the first night. It was difficult to flush, but we managed to find a way to «double flush» the next day. We mentioned it to the receptionist the first morning and she promised to have someone look into it, and she kindly offered us to change room. However, we liked the room and the problem went away, so we stayed. Strong wind make all kinds of load «flute like» noises in the room, which disturbed sleep a little, but in its «spookiness» it was kind of nice too. It would have been nice to have an around the clock news and weather channel on the TV.
The area and distance to local amenities.
The TV was very small the bed was small and the shower wasn't big enough. The shower curtain let water go all over the floor making it slippery.
the room had been reburbished to a very high level. reception service was very helpful. Loved the seaview. we were upgraded without out our knowledge and was a very nice surprise to get sea view roooms.
The front doors by the reception needed the strengh of hercules to open!! and the bathroom was very small compared to the size of the rrom. thank god both my husband and i are small size people or we would not have fitted into the bathroom!!
The Evening meal service was painfully slow -one man walked out between courses. The whole experience was terrible.
Quiet; attentive staff;well located
Staff did not know much about local restaurants
I had a lovely view of the Solent from my large spacious balconied room.
My balcony was covered in old cigarette ends in various stages of decay and my balcony door would not shut. Breakfast was dried up and the waitress was sulky.
location was great, room had sea view, decor of ground floor great
it was in the process of renovation, our room was in definite need of this and it was very small
