Restaurant offerings were a little unimaginative
Bed very uncomfortable
Good amenities, free airport shuttle, 2 minutes from LGA
Pool was closed
I bought food from the grocery store . As for the bed , they were extremely comfortable.
Everything was perfect .
check on time is terrible i will.never stay there again and the rooms
i like the fact it was close to the airport.
management was rude, and check in time was terrible.
Solid hotel very close to LGA
So close to LGA The shuttle bus drivers were so great -- they really went the extra mile. One even stopped at a deli for me! Its super convenient Big rooms, quiet, clean
The free wifi is so slow. What a joke. You have to pay $10 to get "faster" wifi The bathroom was a bit tired but was totally fine
Location, clean, parking availability
Front desk was rude and not helpful
Our bar tender
Front desk and management were rude and not helpful. Our room was not ready by our 630 pm arrival and we were told to wait. After no room by 7 pm an argument ensued with no kindness. After several requested to speak to management....no one came to speak with us to learn of our concerns. Aside from a very kind and competent bartender the stay was not pleasant.
The room is big and clean. Very confortay
You can hear other peoples conversation. Unfortunately, we had to hear another couple in their intimacy whoch was very awful.
Basic Airport Hotel
Shuttle service and breakfast. Other than that the rooms and facilities were pretty ordinary.
There was no bottled water available in the room nor was it available in any of the vending machines parked at each floor. The hotel shop what presumably carried closed two hours before published time outside the shop. Finally I had to purchase expensive water from the hotel bar.
courtesy of staff proximity to airport shuttle
I liked that checkin was quick and painless and the room was spacious and clean.
The room was pitch black and turning on the hall switch was dim. Had to use my phone to find the lamp switch.
Front dest clerks were unfriendly and not very helpful. Housekeeping staff were noisy, busy on cell phones(personal calls) @ early hours in hallways. Bar staff unattentive (on cell phones, chatting with each other)
Clean, quiet room with a comfortable bed, with shuttle to airport terminal.
Location to Airport
Everything in hotel is old, way past time for upgrade.
I love the bar/restaurant and the ambience with the fireplace. The dark haired waitress is lovely and very personable. Her name may be Jasmine.
No elevator to access upper levels of parking garage. It was raining and messy. The stairs were hazardous.
the closeness to the airport, coffee in the lobby at 4 am, and the shuttle service
The LaGuardia Plaza Hotel is a step above most New York area airport hotels. It’s large, located across the street from LaGuardia Airport, and offers plenty of modern style in a bustling atmosphere. Obviously, most guests at the hotel are commuters departing or arriving on flights. There are also business travelers, families, couples, and flight crews.
The main draw is the hotel's proximity to LaGuardia Airport and the free 24-hour shuttle services to and from the airport. Located in East Elmhurst Queens means that the hotel isn’t within walking distance of much else for those hoping to capitalize on cheap rates or a long layover. Queens Center Mall and the Mets-Willets Point Subway station on the 7 line are a shuttle bus ride away but is still not convenient enough to the hotel for a walkable distance.
As an airport hotel with 24-hour front desk service, many of the amenities on-site are geared toward travelers in transit. The first-floor gift shop offers toiletry items, snacks, souvenirs, and coffee. Car rental services and indoor garage parker is available, plus the hotel’s shuttle runs 24/7 to the airport and to some attractions. Uncommon New York City amenities include an indoor heated pool, hot tub, sauna, and fitness center. There are two on-site restaurants with a variety of food, plus 15 nice meeting rooms, a business center, and a ballroom.
Accommodations are spacious with standard features such as flat-screen HD TVs, free WiFi, air-conditioning, irons, desks, and coffeemakers with Starbucks coffee. A bonus for busy travelers are the extra charging outlets throughout the room. Double Rooms offer queen-size beds, while the King Rooms feature king-size beds. The Honeymoon Suite and Plaza Suite are the standouts at the hotel.
Policies vary by room type and provider.
