The staff were incredibly friendly as soon as we arrived and throughout the entire stay...the food at the hotel was very good as was the service...the room was perfect and well worth the price I paid...the skiing was incredible with more snow than I have ever seen
The hotel recently won an international guest hospitality award, and I can see why. I think I was one guest who just didn't get that service. The hotel was clean, well-kept, in a great location and had great services. The guesthouse had a lot of festivities for New Years and was in a great location to enjoy a view of the valley during the fireworks.
There was a mistake with # of folks in my party, but that was my fault and the hotel was accomodating to that for an extra 22 euros a day. However, after that, my friend and I felt like we were inconveniences for the hotel manager. We felt like outcasts. I had to always hunt her down for requests and remind her of services we needed. Other guests were constantly doing things in the restaurant, but we were never really offered those services. Possibly I should have spoken out more about requesting access, but I just didn't feel that welcomed to do so. Our host spoke English, but I think it was a bit of a hindrance to deal with us as the only American group there. I needed access to a phone and internet and was told to walk two blocks to use a payphone. Despite having working wireless in the hotel, guests were limited to using the manager's laptop. It was difficult to locate the manager to use it, and when I finally did it seemed like I was being more of a bother and then was told it didn't work and I could go into town to an internet cafe. All in all, I think I was just the one group that didn't start on the best foot. I believe the hotel is in a great place to enjoy the activities in the area and I think that the staff and the hotel are truly good people who offer great service. Just my poor luck that I didn't get it. It was New Years kind of busy and they can't please everybody all of the time.
The hostess was very helpful in providing information about skiing in the little local areas. She is high energy and friendly without being overbearing. Great sunny views from the gasthaus.
Excellent flexibility in serve of the guests.
