Hotel American Palace Eur

There is nothing to do in the area the hotel is in. nothing.

I did stay for two nights in a single room as i was travelling myself. It's well priced but for that travelling to city centre 35-55.min each way on busy subway. There is two line in Rome A and B and those are connects at Terminali what is the main Rail station as well. Unfortunately that time there was a contraction work and switching subway was a pain, i am not sure how fast will be with out it, but expect a few extra minutes on your journey on the way to the city centre. Hotel clean enough and i was sleeping ok at night not much noise from outside also from other guests. Breakfast included and there is plenty of choice. Internet extra €6 euros a bit pricey, but top of the room price still affordable.

The location was not so nice.

i enjoyed being there. the room as great, breakfast good and we had a free diner. I stayed in more italian hotels but this was better. very close to metro and only 20 to downtown.

The hotel took the money from my credit card immediately after the booking and i had to make a lot of phone calls and sent emails to solve the proble. the hotel said it was a misake and appologized with a free diner. we also had a much better room then the one we booked.

Close to the subway station, still quite far from the city center (20 minutes). Nice decoration (even if it's a bit old), very clean, varied breakfast (but very poor quality)

Horrible staff, unwilling to help, won't even tell you "hello" or "goodbye". They don't even look at you when you give them the keys. They don't have a map of Roma so don't expect any information to visit the city...The air conditioning was very noisy (so noisy it drowns out the noise of the cars of the speedway) and woke us up during the night. On top of that, it is hardly efficient. It is definitely not a 4 star hotel. For the same price, get a nice hotel in the center of Roma with a helpful staff.
