More of a country inn than an hotel which suited us perfectly. Cosy, good beer, good food, good atmosphere, waking to beautiful sunrises over the mill race and river.
The weather was very cold and the resaurant, with hardly anyone in it, could have been warmer. Dinner served on cold plates.
The Location was superb being close to the town centre and the cathederal but not in it.
too many stairs for an oldie
a very good room and a good breakfast
room was below expectation and could benefit from more attractive make over - bathroom fittings old
The view from the window - very picturesque
the noise from people leaving the bear fest - we didn't realise when we booked that there was one going on.People were still outside our window calling a cab at gone 2.am. The breakfast was the worst we have ever had. 45mins for a cold hardboild poached egg !!
room dirty small bathroom particularly bad
I liked the atmosphere
I did not like the fact that it was gone 2.30 before we could get any sleep due to the noise in the bar and people coming up to their rooms really late next time if there were not any rooms on the top floor i would have to go to another hotel.
The friendliness of the welcome
very nice old building
