The location was nice and the staff was pretty friendly. Bed was pretty comfortable. They provided a fan.
An air conditioner would have been nice, or at least some kind of warning that there wouldn't be one. The room was pretty dated. Bathroom felt like I sitting in a high school bathroom. Light switch didn't do anything. Had to use my cell phone light to find the lamp switches in the nightstand. After about 2am there was a fairly consistent banging noise. It was loud. Parking was $25.
Bed was super comfortable! Staff super pleasant
Great Location A Bit Pricy
The location is incredible! Right off the water in walking distance to everything!! The rooms were small, but clean and decent.
I think the price is pretty high for what you actually get for a room. You’re definitely paying for location for sure, because the rooms are small, with very small beds, and they are the equivalent of a decent motel room for double the price.
No ice, charge you an extra $20 per day for parking, not very clean, small bathroom
The location was amazing, the views from the rooftop patio were unbelievable.th
The facilities seemed dated. Inside the room had some 70's decor.
TIRED AND OLD WITH VIEW
SMALL ROOM, TIRED WITH RUST IN THE BATHROOM. INADEQUATE HEATING AND AIR. EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT WE GOT
Location, location, location! Breakfast and being served on roof excellent. Staff above average. Little balcony overlooking the park/ocean very nice.
Doors absolutely slam hard when just closed normally. Unbelievably loud. Disturbs sleep at night as people come in from late activities and in the AM when others are getting up and on their way early. Rooms very outdated and not kept up well at all. Screens torn, towel rack fell out of the wall, stains om couch, etc No air conditioning and we happened to be there during warmer than normal period so the room was too warm, and effected sleep.
The location, view, complimentary strawberry waffles, staff, salt pool and kitchenette,
paying for parking, elevators not working, small bathroom counters and musty
La Jolla Cove Hotel & Suites is a vacationer's retreat into the beauty of coastal San Diego. This area isn't as well-known as some of California's more popular tourist attractions, like Hollywood, but offers visitors a taste of both natural beauty to take in and plenty of dining, shopping, and entertainment to experience as well.
La Jolla Cove offers three different kinds of accommodations to stay in. The Guest Rooms are standard, if extremely beautiful and well appointed, hotel rooms. The diversity among these rooms is impressive, from quaint 165 square foot studios all the way up to 900 square foot ocean front suite with one king and two queen beds. All of the rooms come with free wifi, flat screen TV, and quick beach access. If guests want a little bit more room to spread out they can stay in either the Cove Suites or the Terrace Suites & Studios. The suites have multiple bedrooms and bathrooms in addition to spacious living and dining areas. Guests can have a wonderful time without leaving the hotel. There is a heated pool for swimming surrounded by fire pits to light up the night. The hotel also offers a continental breakfast in the mornings with items like buttermilk pancakes, vegetable burritos, fried egg sandwiches and more.
Beyond the wonderful amenities at La Jolla Cove, there are all kinds of activities to keep visitors busy. Obviously, the hotel as beach access for its guests, but if visitors want to venture a little farther they will discover the Village at La Jolla, a collection of some of the areas best restaurants, stores, and entertainment.
