Pros: My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 days 2 nights as a getaway trip from work and we loved our little cottage! We booked the Santa Cruz Cantina and it was perfect for us! We loved the separate rooms and facilities within our own private little house.
Cons: The only problem we had with our room was that the drains in the bathroom sink and bath tub didn't drain properly. The plug seemed to be stuck and had to be lifted/taken out by hand in order for water to drain.

Pros: Our family of four had a great time at the Eagle Inn. Lovely rooms & super bathrooms. Breakfast was prepared and served individually. They even had cruiser bikes available that we used to explore Santa Barbara, which, given the super location, was easy to do.
Cons: We liked the place so much, so didn't mind that there was only one queen bed per room. Rooms are too small for two beds, but fine with one bed. We also had one person who couldn't have taken the stairs, and were lucky to have downstairs room. Not sure if there was an elevator, so visitors should check for availability of downstairs rooms.

Pros: Eagle Inn is an attractive, clean, and well-maintained property, and is close to Santa Barbara's happening spots.
Cons: We were in room 102, right off the lobby, and adjacent to the breakfast room. At 7am every morning, there commenced from above and all sides such a clamor as to make sleeping past that hour impossible. Perhaps an upstairs room, away from the lobby would be better.

Pros: It's the Four Seasons, what else needs to be said? Every detail is cared for and it was just a great relaxing experience. The Staff was more than accommodating and went out of their way to take car of our every need. We loved our stay and we will be back since this is now our new favorite place to stay.
Cons: Although we had a beautiful pool side room, we never where unable to secure four lounge chairs together for our family. We had to pay $200 extra a day to go across the street to the Coral Casino and enjoy that pool. Although we loved it at the Coral Casino Pool, their should be some consideration made for those who can not secure lounging at the main pool next to their room to be allowed to use the Coral Casino pool without this additional cost. Especially if seating is unavailable as it was for us by the hotel main pool.

Pros: The gardens are spectacular and walking to and from room was pleasant stroll. Room was silent sanctuary as was the private patio. Other hotels could learn a great deal by experiences all the small details of simplicity. Nothing fancy, just classic. Delightful place. Every employee seemed proud of their work and part of a team. That is rare.

Pros: The service and property are the best we've seen in southern California we really enjoyed our stay and it's such beautiful scenery that you must stay at this hotel the food was delicious and they even have a car to take you where ever you want to go so you don't have to worry about driving after an all day wine tasting. The concierge will set up tours for you and give you advice on which placeset to visit while you are there a 5 star hotel hands down

Pros: I proposed to my Fiance at the Bacara and it was the perfect place. I set up all the plans through the concierge in the weeks leading up to the trip and everything was taken care of perfectly...and then some! The staff went above and beyond for us and made it the perfect place for the proposal. If the resort itself wasn't already enough, the staff helped make it the most special time for my fiance and I. I will definitely be coming back and i recommend the hotel 100%.

Cons: We were in room 242 which was right next to the front desk, on the first floor. During the evening (10:00 - 10:30 PM) we could hear the noise from someone walking around in the room above. I couldn't figure out why there was so much movement in a small room. The same thing happened in the early morning (6:00 AM - 6:45 AM) It reminded me of a cheap apartment in New York where you could hear the person on the floor above bustling about, getting ready for bed and for work in the morning. Wasn't happy. Front desk said the usual.. "sorry about that". Words are words. Lowering my bill makes me feel a little better. For $300+ per night, I should sleep like a baby.

Cons: Purchased this room on Hotwire to find it was $30 cheaper if I had called the hotel directly. Handicapped accommodations so that there was very little shelf space in the bathroom. Towel racks were grab bars next to the toilet. No place to sit except desk or bed. Used q-tips on floor. Second time that we stayed there but very disappointed this visit. Brunch was so crowded that you couldn't sit down and the staff couldn't keep things stocked.

Pros: The room was decent and clean for the most part. There was a crunched up sock in the curtain, which was weird but we didn't mind it. Overall, the property was quiet, and we had a good night's sleep. Honestly, we spent very minimal time at the hotel itself.

Pros: Love the location - near Vons, In-N-Out ,and close to the freeway. The pool and spa are great and the grounds are very relaxing. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy.
Cons: This was the second time i stayed here. I really dislike the A/C in the rooms. they do not work right. It shuts off when it wants and goes on periodically. This NEEDS to be updated soon. I would definitely choose a room downstairs and facing the pond and pool.

Pros: I liked that it wasn't far from activities, but far enough to relax. I was surprised with how quite it was, with how close to State Street we were. The staff were very friendly and helpful! The rooms were very clean, the building its self is older, however, they seem to have kept up on it very well.
Cons: When checking in, I was told the Internet info was provided on the room card and it was not, but that was a quick fix by just calling the office. They didn't have pool towels ready, but a staff brought them to us when they were dry. Everything I read said the pools were heated, but only one out of two pools were heated. The parking was alittle tight, I have a big truck, but it worked out. Nothing was bad enough to to not come back again. We will definitely stay here again. (:

Pros: The maids were so helpful, welcoming and friendly. Did their utmost to make our stay comfortable.
Cons: Even though we told the front desk when we arrived that we belonged to their Rewards program and were staying for three nights, they put us at the far end of the building where the workers had rooms. They woke up early, made lots of noise loading their trucks and same was true when they returned in the evening. The grounds looked overgrown and dirty. Bed was old and uncomfortable. Next time we will stay at Best Western on Calle Real in Goleta. Much nicer.

Cons: The room was hot, tiny and extremely uncomfortable. You couldn't even open the window because they had martini glasses, wine bottles, snacks etc in the way. There was no AC and only a fan. If they would invest in some AC units, it would have at least been tolerable. Some of the staff were rude as well. And it was overpriced. Don't stay here, stay anywhere else.

Cons: The walls were paper thin and you could hear everything. We could not sleep at all. We heard people in the pool and the person going in and out of the room next to us and running the shower and walking down the hallway. The sink had hair all over it when we checked into the room. The bathroom was really dirty. One of the lamps did not work in the room.

Cons: Poor maintenance -- electrical problems with bathroom fan, bedroom fan, and lighting. Apparently these problems are known and property managers have chosen not to fix them. Desk staff knew about them and just sort of shrugged when we reported the overhead bedroom light randomly turning on during the night. Also, general daily grounds clean up was deficient -- trash not picked up by staff as they walk around; leaves and debris not swept in common areas. Great property but disappointing maintenance and attention to detail -- especially for the price!

Pros: Well you just can't beat the location, you are on the beach, and not just a sliver of frontage crammed between two other properties, but about 500 feet of beach frontage including a park/greenbelt. We hadn't spent much time in Santa Barbara over the years....I don't know why after this trip. Because it won't be long before we go again. But from this location you have everything Santa Barbara has to offer within an easy bike ride or walk away. Everything was clean, staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The room was small, and what I mean is 2-4' around the bed and a bath, period. But while we were not there for the room, or planned to spend a lot of time there...we were going to explore the city not the room mentality. So while the room was very clean and functional, it certainly served it purpose well. Would I still book there again, yes. The fair price for the room, was justified by the location that can't be bought.

Pros: Can't beat the location right on the beach. Grounds are nicely landscaped and beautiful. Handy to have the continental breakfast provided (nothing special but ample fruit, cereal, muffins and coffee). Friendly staff.

Pros: Absolutely loved this place. The beds were so comfortable, the staff was as friendly as can be, the bike rental was perfect. We stayed in early November for the half marathon (husband and cousin ran it) and the location was perfect. We booked early so got a great price. If you wait, the rooms can be very pricey. Eventually got moved to a different room where it was quieter but the hot water more or less didn't work. Also in the new room the overhead light for some insane reason randomly turned on at 6 AM every single morning and woke us up. Pillows left us with aching necks. For the money, the quality of this hotel was impossibly shitty. Staff were very friendly and helpful but whoever owns/runs this place is coasting on the location alone and keeps the rooms in an embarrassing state. Would not stay here again or recommend it.

Pros: The property is kept up and the rooms are clean and nice. I liked the beachy cottage feel that has comfy feeling. The continental breakfast was nice with a good variety and there is a 2 hour complimentary bike rental.
Cons: They do charge for $18 for the daily parking lot fee and why is there a room service charge of $12. With the price you pay for just the room, shouldn't that charge already be included in that?? We paid $36700 for one night and when I checked my credit card online, I saw that they charged $418.00

Cons: The staff at night was very rude. We got in really late and when I walked into the lobby I was asked “do you need something?” Not the greeting I was expecting. Then the check in attendant looked like he was in the back room sleeping. His hair was a mess and he was rude. There was no regular coffee in the room. When I spoke with the manager, he didn’t seem at all concerned with anything I had to say. Not happy with the staff at all.

Pros: Everything was so easy to check in, park, and right when you leave the hotel you're in the middle of the best shops, wine stops and restaurants that are on State Street. It's also a two-minute walk to a breakfast shop, the beach, and the pier. I felt very safe at, and walking to/from, the hotel. The hotel room was sealed to show the cleaning procedures were followed, and there was plenty of room for a solo traveler (three would have been too many, if you travel with your small child or family, and think that would be possible - it's not).

Cons: Our room (room 143) had some serious issues. Although a nice big room with recent renovations, the room is right next to/against the wall with both the front door and the elevator. The front door is a big metal gate, essentially, which slams and rattles every time someone comes or goes. This sounds is very loud in the room and actually shakes the wall, which is right where the headboard of the bed is located. Even worse is the elevator, however. The machinery or hydraulics for the elevator are in the wall and make a ridiculously loud noise everytime someone uses it. My wife and I got to the point where we couldn't help but laugh at how crazy this situation was. This room needs, at a minimum, sound proofing and probably more realistically needs to be changed to a non-room. Maybe a place to house the ice machine, which is just awkwardly in the hallway right next to the doorway of another room. I suspect many of these problems are unique to room 143 because of where it is located. But something really should be done to fix this.

Pros: The hotel itself is very secluded with nice seems like newly renovated spacious rooms with nice bedding and bathroom. The hotel was fairly close to our destination (wineries in the funk district).
Cons: The hotel is actually a satellite for Hyatt Santa Barbara and is very confusing to get to/check in. You have to check in at the actual Hyatt Santa Barbara a street down from the "Park Side Inn" hotel (which they actually renamed to Hyatt Santa Barbara). There's no one at the Park Side Inn to check you in or give you any information on how to check in so we went to the actual Hyatt and asked the valet boy if this is where we check in for Park Side Inn, he looked at us like we were crazy (I believe he said "uhm.. no I don't know what Park Side Inn is... this is the Hyatt). Anyways, long story short, make sure yo go to the Hyatt Santa Barbara to check in first, and then go to Park Side Inn.

Cons: The "Santa Barbara House" is basically a converted apartment building by the 101 Freeway. Its around the corner, and full block away from the actual hotel complex. (Which is actually a nice, beachside hotel.) If you want to spend $200+ per night to stay in an old apartment building by a busy freeway, go for it I guess... If you'd like to stay in an actual hotel, try somewhere else. Honestly, Hyatt should consider selling that property so it can be converted back into an apartment building.

Pros: Walking distance to the beach. I stayed on a Thursday night so it was very quite and empty and felt very private. Bed was very comfortable.
Cons: Although the rooms have been renovated, the building it self needs updating. The railing at the main entrance is bent pretty badly and leans to one side (probably hit by a car in the parking). Parking has a tight turn around. The bathroom light is located outside the bathroom behind where the door swings so it makes it really hard to find in the middle of the night. The window AC unit can get a bit loud. I had a balcony that faced the park side instead of the ocean side and it was not a very good view. The rooms are nice but not much different from a Motel 5 and costs a lot more. There are no restaurants or bars within walking distance besides the main Hyatt.
