Cons (-) We booked the hotel room advertised online at $285 a night for one night. Our credit card was charged 2 nights for a total of $966.39. The priced had gone up but the website had not been updated. We got the charges reversed but it was an inconvenience.

Pros (+) I loved the proximity to the boardwalk and the beach access. Restaurants were all in walking distance. Off street parking was great. Staff very nice and let us keep our car there while we spent the day at the boardwalk after checking out.
Cons (-) This hotel was extremely overpriced as are most in this area. For just $20 more, we could have been in a much nicer and updated hotel. While it had charm, it was not worth the money we paid. Also, we came during construction and were placed in the room right next to the “workshop”. Kayak had said waterfront view; however, we had a view of the parking lot. Pros (+) Loved the location, charm, updates and view. Our room resembled a studio apartment with a refrigerator, stove & kitchen area. We will definitely come back for longer stays with the kids and save money by having the kitchenette.
Cons (-) The hardwood floor appeared clean but did leave our socks dirty. I expect this in ever hotel though. Even in $300/nt carpeted rooms. That's why we always wear socks. Everything looked and smelled clean otherwise.
